SRK is trying to recover from failure of Panchvi Pass, err, Panchvi Fail
Big B puzzled over failure of Panchvi Pass-India-The Times of India

"KBC 1 ran non-stop for almost two years and then with an adequate break the 2 and the 3. I am unable to understand its falling interest as the graphs show despite the fact that they were presented by bigger and more popular stars, namely Shah Rukh", Bachchan said.

The Purple Cap will be awarded to the bowler with the most cumulative wickets to his name on each day of the season, and will be worn by that bowler in the field. At the end of the season, the holder of the Purple Cap will win the honour of being called the Winner of the Purple Cap 2008 and will receive recognition on the final day. In the event of a tie at any given time, the holder will be determined by superior economy rate.
Earlier the IPL had announced the Orange Cap which will recognise the best performer with the bat.

DLF IPL chairman and commissioner Lalit Modi says, "We have seen over the course of the inaugural season of the DLF Indian Premier League so far that bowlers have just as important a role to play in winning T20 matches as batsmen do. DLF IPL has created a distinction for the highest wicket taking bowler in the Purple Cap.
"The purpose of this initiative is to continue to be innovative, create a further unique piece of history that sets the DLF Indian Premier League apart form the crowd, and to acknowledge outstanding performance by the bowlers.
"The bowler who wins the right to call himself Purple Cap Winner 2008 will certainly have earned the right to feel proud of the achievement, since the prevailing thought is that T20 is a 'batsman's game' and the DLF IPL is blessed with many of the world's greatest batsmen."

Good Pics Diabloo....

Next season I'am pretty sure that Mallya will make his words count and will buy out most of the players (whatever the cost be) as he has learnt the hard way in this season. Most probably, the captain will be the most successful captian of this season and the players will be the most successful players of this season. Need to wait for that how the auctions will turn out to be.

This is what happens when Teams are taken over by Businessmen and ofcourse the players need to justify their place by performing which is a far cry in the challengers camp in the present period. I suppose Rahul might be thinking, damn ! its easier to play for the country than for a team owned by a businessman

I only blame Dravid for the RCB fiasco, when he knows very well that T20 (infact even ODI) is not his cup of tea, why did he take the position of icon & captain of RCB?

As a result, he doomed the fortunes of the team, management & Mr Mallya!

The Deccan Chargers as bad too, maybe not as bad as the RCB. They have a formidable batting line-up on paper, but have been firing blanks as well.

Ironically, two of the DC batsmen make it to the top of pile in the highest run getters, Gilchrist and Rohit Sharma.

I guess SRK's heart beats for only bollywood !!
While he is trying save room-rent costs () by sending 6 players OUT of the KKR hotel, he trying to woo Khali to cheer for KKR by paying him 3 crores

Quote:
It was earlier reported that King Khan has offered Rs.3 crore to Khali to cheer for his IPL team the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Sehwag explains:

Quote:
The confusion arose because the TV replay system was not working from the 8th over of Jaipur innings. "But when we appealed against Watson, the umpires did not want to refer it to the third umpire as they thought TV replay was still not available. They did not know that the feed had been restored.

It was only after our insistence that they asked the the third umpire who told them that the snag had been set right. The third umpire (MSS Ranawat) should have informed the field umpires immediately once he got the feed back."
I think its fair on part of Sehwag to ask for TV replay. So unlike Ganguly , we can give a clean chit to Sehwag .

(Preity Zinta hugs Shaun Marsh)

When Kings XI scored their 1st win, she hugged Brett Lee initially and but just congratulate Kumar Sangakara who was right behind Lee

.: Not just a slap, Bhajji-Sree had a fist-fight

The April 25 slap-gate involving Harbhajan Singh and S Sreesanth threatened to turn uglier before teammates and security guards separated the volatile cricketers from a fisticuff.

According to the channel, which claimed to have had a look at the video footage, Harbhajan had another go at Sreesanth after he had slapped him while shaking hands with rival players after the match.

Sreesanth, on his part, was not ready to take it lying down and he too lunged at Harbhajan before teammates held him back.

So, Nanavati shocked by footage of Bhajji-Sreesanth slapgate*-*News*-*News*-*Times of India Cricket - IPL

Match 35 - Sehwag meets Dada for the 1st time !!!

Will Shoaib Akhtar play?

I don't think so. Considering Sehwag his the opposition, he wouldn't want his IPL debut to turn out sour
