| Chevrolet Creates First Drive-In Fitting Room

Whether car enthusiasts like it or not, most drivers in the UK (that's 72% of them according to a Chevrolet survey carried out in April 2008) say they use their car as a status symbol and hope that their car reflects the owner's personality and success to other drivers. Yet the fast majority of these drivers, 95%, admits to not knowing what they look like behind the wheel.
“You wouldn’t dream of buying a dress or suit without trying it on first so why should it be any different when it comes to buying a car – after all you never know who might pull up next to you at the lights.” says Channel 4 presenter Nicky Hambleton-Jones.
So Chevrolet has built the first drive-in fitting room for car buyers, located in a South London forecourt. The curtained-off room allows car buyers to 'try on' their car by driving it onto a rotating platform surrounded by mirrors. And with 80% of car buying decisions (strongly) influenced by women, this could just turn into a run-away success.
