Reminds me how I ran to Hyderabad after being in Chennai for a week. Bangalore is not as bad. You should give yourself another chance.

Hi guys,

I would be relocating to Bangalore in a month.
I will move in first and only after a few months will my wife join me.
So am thinking of renting out either a 1 or 2 BHK apartment near Sarjapur (on the outer ring road) as this is very close to my new work place.

My budget is around 12-18k/month.
Is it feasible to get a decent flat for this amount around this area? Also looking for car parking.
Also what is the approx. down payment?

Yes in that budget you will get a decent 2BHK with all facilities on the Sarjapur stretch.

Try these:
craigslist: bangalore classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events
http://www.indiaconnect.com
India Gulf Dubai Real Estate & Properties - Sell Buy Rent Commercial n Residential Property and Get Fair Deals by Real Estate Brokers, Agents or Dealers in India

Down payment is 10 times the rent. Refundable without interest.

You should be easily able to get a 2 bhk flat with parking (maintenance included) in that price bro. There are hardly any 1 bhks and I wouldnt suggest you one as most of them are overpriced(if any)

As posted above , 10 * 1 month rent is the security deposit. Let me know if u want any help with brokers. The broker who helped me find my flat is a very decent chap. Can provide u his contact info if u want.
The brokerage is also 1 months rent.
Oh yeah ..welcome to Bangalore bro

Same here. The city has really gone to the dumps, once we have a government things are going to get worse. My personal opinion please dont jump on me. I have my reasons and as an individual i have all lthe right to have them. Dont want to get into arguments.

Thanks a lot sam & spitfire.

I will be there in the middle of June & will stay in touch.

Was there in Bangalore a couple of weeks back, after 9 years, and must admit I was impressed by the city except for the traffic. This coming from a Hyderabadi.

Food joints are much better, more places to hang out and not to forget the great connectivity it provides to places like Chennai, coimbatore, ooty etc.

Friends,
I have decided to make Banaglore my new home & will be shifting in the 1st week of June.

I am thinking of renting out either a 1 or 2 BHK apartment .My office is on Lavelle Road & I want to live close to my office.

My budget is around 10-12k/month.
Is it feasible to get a decent flat for this amount around this area? Also looking for car parking.

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers,
Pankaj

welcome to bangalore pankaj. Lavelle road is easily one of the most expensive areas in bangalore, and most of the houses there are big independent houses and only few appartments, so finding a house for your budget there is going to be difficult. But you can try on the other side of richmond road , like shanti nagar ,ashok nagar, or austin town . They are pretty close to lavelle road. Even koramangla is not that far away from richmond circle.
