Thanks buddy-I took close to 30 pics-will post some more soon. The closeup of the steering was courtesy the MC who I befriended-he could go into the enclosure unlike the rest of the visitors.
Saturday was my lucky day-saw a Porsche Carrera convertible on OMR in the morning-spent the evening drooling over the Ferrari.:thumbs up

Yes-the car was driven by the man himself in 2004.The tyre on display was run for 7 laps and taken off the car.The molten rubber had stuck to the tyre and it looked awesome.

Hope you guys liked the pics.

I heard that bridgestone was doing a roadtrip from city to city to promote the tyres. I am assuming that if they have been in Mumbai and Chennai, Bangy and Delhi should be on their radar too.

Also i got a chance to get a photo clicked with me sitting right next to the car (inside the car enclosure) clap:

Here's a really stupid question from a guy who can't even remember when he last glanced at motor racing on TV <Blush>

OK. If I don't ask I'll never know, so I'm all prepared to feel really silly here.

Here goes...

Is that really a bar code on the car?

There I did it. Please don't throw thing at me :).

I can imagine reasons (other than taking it past the supermarket checkout) why it could be --- but I can also imagine that I'm making the whole thing up.

Here are some pics of the F1 ferrari which i shot at the singapore airport couple of weeks back

@nitrous: The car in the pics by Wollfe and iceman cant be Schumi's car from 2004. In 2004 Ferrari still had Vodafone as a sponsor. The car displayed is this year's car with No. 1 on it standing for Kimi WC and it doesnt have Vodafone on it. This one also has Mubadala Abu Dhabi and Alice sponsors

By the way nice pictures iceman and Wolffe

Prior to ( whatever year, I dont remember ) Ferrari had the Marlboro Logo at that spot. Now, after the rules in Europe and across the world changed that tobacco products cannot be advertised, they had to get rid of the Marlboro logo there.

Yeah, I know.. I didnt answer your question.. Still, why the bar code ?

Thanks Dippy. The info given by the guy in the enclosure was that it's Schumey's 2004 car. Then again he could be wrong. For me all that matters is that I was able to see a Ferrari F1 car up close and hardly 1 feet away.clap:

Some more pics from my visit with my kids.

Yeah, the advertising on the car did confuse me.
But, somehow the aerodynamics made me think it was a 2004.

Was looking at the Vodafone site when the news popped up that a McLaren F1 car is doing the rounds in India and is stated to be in Chennai between 24th & 27th July...Yipeeee ! Will be on show at Ispahani Center(will be confirmed later) on 26th & 27th July...I will be there for sure...:)

Here's a link from their site f1

I think it already made a round in Hyderabad
