Hi Shantanu, it looks great! Waiting to see the finished product. Did you build it yourself or is it from a kit? I am sure the end result will look superb!

Hey

Thank you very much.

I have designed it myself and completely scratch built. I don't use kits.
Currently working on two more models. So it will take some time to post the photos.

Cheers!!

Shantanu

Wonderful thread. If you guys are ever in Mysore, you should visit the Rail Museum right next to the actual railway station. Loved it when I was a kid.

@headers, lovely pictures man. It reminds me of the days I used to sit in front of a railroad set and play with it (around 20 years back)

Yep, even I loved the place. Wanted to visit there every time I went to Mysore. My last visit was around 6-7 years back. I heard it was going to be closed due to lack of 'attendance' (for lack of a better word). Is it true?

Hi dhrishikesh, how can one buy the IR models you were refering. I am interested in building HO model setup and have been reading about it! Right now I have a 'Geotrax' toy train by Fisherprice. It is quite engaging & entertaining setting up different layouts etc. Can imagine how it would be to set up a real model train layout!

Some of my Trains...

I have 2 HO Locos and 1 OO Loco (all Hornby) with some wagons, station, level crossing, foot overbridge, tracks and other accessories from hornby and peco. Been building it up slowly as and when the budget permits Here are some pics of sections that I set up a weeks back.
