Billy Baxter - what a guy!!!

Billy Baxter was recently invited on Top Gear, to try and prove his claims, that he could lap their track, faster than Richard Whiteley's 2min 6sec time, in the Suzuki Liana.

Now Richard W, sits at the very bottom of the "star in a reasonably priced car" lap list. So, why should that be such an achievement?

For Billy it is, bcoz he happens to be blind.........."Blind as a Bat".

With a little help from Jeremy (who played "Nivagator"), Billy not only beat Richard's time but also smashed Terry Wogan's time of 2min 4sec. He did it....... in 2mins and 2 secs!!

I was pretty impressed with this and i managed to find out a few things about this chap (thanks to google).

Billy Baxter is not just any blind man, he holds the record for being the fastest blind man...............on the face of this planet.

That, is what i call "real passion for speed". Hats off to you, Billy Baxter.

Ive read about him before and ive always thought he deserves more credit than any other motorsportsman. hatsoff!

Same here, both Baxter and Schumi are special, and the best at their own levels of motorsport.
