1) Its a 4x4 3.0 DICOR
2) The place is somewhere in the spiti loop. He will be able to give you the exact location details.
3) Its doable in a 4x2 but will take some effort and driving.

Nice pics those, a beautiful highway amidst desert ! making me all the more impatient to make a Rajasthan trip. Planning 1st part in 1st week of Nov. Will workout details and send to you and other fellows for suggestions/ modifications, soon. Till then just driving in Rajasthan, of course, in dreams only!
Trance it takes guts to go the places that you have visited in the safari with no traffic around. (just in case with the Dicor).
Pretty unforgiving territory. Impressive.

man!! you remind me of that movie 'Road'. Your truck looks way too similar to the one used in that one(I know the differences, but its still a Safari, right?) and to top it, same terrain!! Post more if you have any left!!
@ADC - you never fail to surprise and you need no 4x4 for the adventures. You and your Safari are a great combination. Waiting for the travelogue.

Someone rightly said above, you don't need any 4x4. You always come with a surprise package, bigger then previous ones. It won't be an exaggeration to say that you are the inspiration for all of us, - 'the poor fellows' (as our JK dada from Thiruanantpuram calls), who don't have the luxury of belonging to the club of 'big boys' (4x4 owners). Yes, it needs tremendous efforts and driving skills to be the architect of those surprise packeges. Nothing less than a passion and great amount of zeal will suffice to visit those unknown territories.
Hence, a warm salute to you and your spirit. Keep it up bro. We look forward to you many more of them.

Thanks much for these wonderful comments - of course a 4wd is a 4wd, no doubt ever. This was this Friday only, will be putting up a travelogue in the week to come. Chitrakote falls was also in almost full flow and the view was fantastic.

Please post a pic of the IRVM when the reverse camera is on. I think they are now installing much LCD screens in the mirror.
Also are you able to lock the vehicle with the remote at night without the
follow me home lights coming on.

Sorry for the delay in posting the requested pic. I wasn't keeping well last week. Here you go with the pic of the IRVM with the reverse camera view.
The follow me home headlights come on every time I use the remote to lock the car. If there is a way to turn off this feature, I'm not aware of it.
