Arunachal - Tawang, Eagle Nest, Bumla, Lumla, Zemithang, PTSO, Madhuri, Nameri[Assam]

Back safe and sound all 3 of us [wife, child, and me], fantastic gruelling tour journey.

The tyres [BF Goodrich AT] and the VTT both tested to its limits - explored all the desolate dirt snow roads around Tawang district - was able to luckily unstuck and save ourselves from being the frozen tuna at -3 C temperatures at 2 occasions at extremely remote locations. Will be starting the travelogue soon...

Some TMT-VTT snaps

And those words are absolutely inspiring to say the minimum. Thanks much.

And both of you, more so having a 4wd [], must keep this place for future travel - particularly the very less touristy dirt routes around Tawang.

Some more snaps, will be starting on the travelogue soon.

Loved the pictures and I am glad to finally see you TMT out there on the mountain, where it actually belongs.

How did the BF's perform especially on-road. Off-Road I know they are really good tires and I've heard that they are really good on snow. But whats your experience on road, higway travel, breaking, road grip, etc.

The last day at Tawang was mighty cold with snow/ice precipitation overnight. There is one additional diesel filter with netting and frozen paste diesel blocked it and the part of the diesel inside the tank itself was half froze. Had to do that [the hotel manager helping me out in that pic] to liquefy somewhat.

Got almost stuck the previous day for a brief time when the diesel flow was stuck for sometime inside the filter due to ice crystals. The wrong thing to do this time was I filled up the tank fully just before getting out of Tawang and with no space for diesel to move inside the tank, there was no fuel going pass the crystallized diesel net filter just beyond at the diesel tank.

Stopped that fire ball soon after as I was more worried about whether any other wires/sensors get cut off that come off from the diesel tank.

Thanks harjeev. BF offroad as you said and seen before, and as I experienced this time, no issues - absolutely brilliant. As I repeat, there was no way we could have got out from a rut at a desolate portion of the road without that tyre tread playing a role along with the massive back gear torque of the VTT.

Onroad, the tire noise is definitely more than the Bstone H/T, which one become accustomed soon, with windows up it is not an issue . About high speed braking on tarmac, would be almost the same or a little better with the A/T.

Sen, good to hear from you.

Absolutely, would finish up the Orissa-Chattisgarh travelogue this weekend first, that has to be finished up before this one proceeds with.

And still some more.
