Thanks! This was Kosi river, Just outside Corbett tiger reserve. Pushed the tiger a little too much during a rough multiple trailer overtaking maneuver and the service light came on when i was on my way to this place. Switched off and fired the engine again and it was gone. So did not push the engine after that.
I was so so keen on crossing the stream but, didn't know the depth in the middle. (the stones showing through the river bed are misleading at times. large boulders at a depth look like pebbles at the surface). So avoided it. The service light incident was in the back of my mind.

Wow Corbett Tiger reserve.

I was incidently reading The Jim Corbett book last week.

No wonder tigers are endangered species here in India, and they name the park after a person who's shot enough tigers as per the pages of his book.

Abhiknow- You can cross the stream, all you need to do is some spotting before venturing out.

What is this about the service light.

Some more pics please of your wonderful beast in its natural habitat.

Yes there is foam at the back of the covers.

whoa, the safari looks so awesome, The fun part is that even the so called "more expensive" SUV`s dont look so cool:

The Endeavour looks great, but is not as comfortable.
The TUCSON is great to drive, but looks a little like a wuss car, too round, too soft.
CRV(old and new) are not even SUV`s (I think)

Brilliant pics of the Safari in its rightful environment, Abhiknov, tsk and Harjeev. Most of the pics of the truck in this thread are better than the pics Tata's manage to put up for their print ads of the beast.

Abhi, the red Safari totally rocks! Have never seen this color on a Safari on the road, it looks awesome!

Will be taking the truck up into the mountains this April, hopefully will get some nice pics of the truck in its rightful environment then. Till then, here are a few pics of the truck in a construction site near Gurgaon:
