From Roll No: 69 - TBHP Safari List

Hi,

I was both elated - that I am the sole rep of a Petrol Safari in the TBHP list - and saddened - that not much takers exist for this wonderful vehicle. I think the critics must have a wry smile given that they achieved what they wanted on this one!

The car at the time of its launch in 2003 (I bought it in 2004) was a very attractive proposition. Probably difficult to justify with the 'growing up' of Safari in its DICOR and VTT avatars.

I have written enough good about this car - let the critics have their day while I have made mine. Heres a sample of pics taken across the Great Indian Terrains.

Cheers

JK,

Seems like you are honing those photography skills of yours. Good shots!

Ram2004,

You have made a good amount of tire tracks, it seems! Love the photo with the banner 'No distance too long' at the background. Looks like you take that as your motto! Happy motoring Ram!
PS: Those lamps in front looks very bullish! Guess it will scare the nuts off everyone.

@ram2004
Great pictures.
I especially like the one with the billlboard in the background.
It sums up the character of the safari and the safari owners in a few words...
Great!!!

Are the pics of the mountains of the Ladakh region???

@Ram: fantastic pics! I was always enamored with the petrol Safari. At least till the DICOR came out (I turned into a dieselhead around that time thanks to the fantastic diesel options we now have in India).
It is quite sad that not many were sold. Till date, I have only seen a handful. My favorite being a black Safari Petrol in Black and a yellow plate! However, that car was amazingly maintained as were some of the other yellow board cars I saw with the Safari.

How is the reliability of the Petrol Safari? As good as the Diesel in terms of engine reliability?

Oh yes thats like model photography and fantastic
Clean, neat and really so artistic.
BUT Why this signature fiasco
"audio video and disco"
Sad to see who once talked about giving direction
With the click of a Smith and Wesson

Anyway great going, thats good kms piling up.
