One for all and All for one buddy..

Sure Buddy, buy a Safari, you seem to be more content with TATA's cousins -the Fiats.

This thread has for sure got more people to buy a Safari, even if it was not their first choice.

Let me load 3 pics from another thread - photos taken by Rudra Sen.

On road pictures of the Safari looking all spic and span are so boring.
Come on guys, get your trucks dirty, break the sidesteps / cladding and lose a hub cap or two

Hrishi, these are priceless & I'm speechless! You're making a habit of treating the truck like a JEEP

Seriously, you & Rudra should design their next Ad-campaign - what should we call it?

Down to Earth????

Some from the corbett trip

Great pics hrag. The safari looks magnificent emerging out of the slush! I see you too are devoid of 4WD hubcaps
These were on banks of Kosi river

Classic pics, Hrag!
Must invite Ramky to have a look at these; in view of his great fondness for what looks to be a river of dung! Where is this place?

These pics would seriously qualify for a new Safari ad!

The place is Chudemahalli - first part of OTR on Sunday. Not a river of dung though. The second part was.

Rudra's pictures of the OTR are available here:
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/4x4-of...na-join-5.html

I lost my LHS hubcaps (both front and rear) at Thippagondanahalli, the off-roaders' delight.

Hrishi.

Looks like you've actually written off the Safari.

Seen those pics of you making milkshakes on the OTR thread.

I'am speechless seeing the way you are treating the Safari, maybe its the right way.

Enjoy whatever you are doing with your truck, i think this truck is much more capable of what i actually think it can.

And yes with everyone saying your pics for sure qualify for the best safari ad ever.

Am seriously gonna meet you at the next OTR.

Dear All Safari owners:

I don't usually venture into threads where I can't contribute or are not in my interest areas. I am now tempted to make an appearance here to speak a word or two about the 4x4 capabilities of the safari -- as an observer of it in various OTR's now.
  • It is an extremely capable 4x4 and can do many of the terrains that jeeps/gypsies can do
  • It has amazing low end torque and great pulling power
  • The disadvantages are:
    • Low GC
    • H/T tyres that are literally useless in mud/slush
    • Rear Overhang + Length
Message to all you 4x4 safari owners: You are missing something if you are not taking out your vehicle for off-roading. If possible, join Hrag in his safari on an OTR and see for yourself what it is capable of.

Kudos to Hrag for having the courage to take his safari to where it belongs.

Cheers,

Great shots, I was skeptical about the 4x4 capabilities of Safari (not that I have driven one), but these pictures speak for themselves about the OTR capabilities!!
