@param22k

those alloys look really great, how much did they cost.

just booked the MONSTER today, so need some inputs.

Firstly, the car is parked at the dealer' showroom rather than the yard. It has done 98 KM (black), whereas another Ex (pearl white) parked next to it showed only 40.5 KM. The sales staff was unable to give a satisfactory explanation.

What would you suggest, going ahead with the one parked with the dealer or wait for the fresh stock which is expected on 10-12th of October.

I am also planning the following upgrades so any inputs on dealers/expected cost in delhi would be more than welcomed. I am planning the following upgrades:

Immediate-
1 Seat Covers (PU seems to be right choice, not sure abt the brand/dealer)
2 Sun Film

For later-
1 Alloys & Tyres
2 ICE
3 Mats are cortesy the dealer, so will take a call once i get the delivery.
4 Reverse cam

Any other suggestions!!!

I am expecting delivery sometime late next week, as the banks are not working for better part of this week.

I suggest you wait for fresh stock. Atleast you wont curse yourself later for not being patient, as many on the forum have.

Suggestion: go for 4x4, you really wont regret it.

Congratulations! Wait for the fresh stock to arrive. It's just a matter of 10-12 days. Make sure you have the PDI list ready when you go to collect it.

Thank you rideon, ACM & jaysmokesleaves.

I have communicated to the dealer that I would not be interested in the Ex parked in their showroom, but would like to take delivery from the new stock arriving in October.

Initially they tried to push me to take the one available using every possible trick. They even tried to tell me that if I pick a Safari from the new stock the deal that I have been given (free insurance and accessories) wont be available. But will have to take the deal available at the time of delivery. Which was rather stupid of them.

But based on T-BHP advice I stuck to my guns and said if I wont get the same deal, I wont be interested in purchasing the car from them. Even if there is a possibility that the new scheme might be better than the existing one.

After a bit of haggling they came back in couple of minutes and said I will get to choose the vehicle from the stock yard and they will inform me as soon as they arrive at the yard.

I just hope they do not try to play another stupid trick, coz it will force me to call off the deal.

And Jay can't go for 4X4 budget constraints.

@Trancenut and bj96. Amazing pictures.

@Trancenut, can you pl. share:

(1). The location of this trip, the scenery is so beautiful, jut couldn't resist asking it. (2). Do you have 4x2 or 4x4. (3). The place you visited (as shown in these pics), can it be done with a 4x2 without any risk of getting stuck?

@bj96: Those alloys on that black beauty look awesomely cool!

@ Devil on wheels. Good decision yours to wait and push for fresh stocks. I am sure you will get the same deal in October too. Good luck.
