just booked the MONSTER today, so need some inputs.

Firstly, the car is parked at the dealer' showroom rather than the yard. It has done 98 KM (black), whereas another Ex (pearl white) parked next to it showed only 40.5 KM. The sales staff was unable to give a satisfactory explanation.

What would you suggest, going ahead with the one parked with the dealer or wait for the fresh stock which is expected on 10-12th of October.

I am also planning the following upgrades so any inputs on dealers/expected cost in delhi would be more than welcomed. I am planning the following upgrades:

Immediate-
1 Seat Covers (PU seems to be right choice, not sure abt the brand/dealer)
2 Sun Film

For later-
1 Alloys & Tyres
2 ICE
3 Mats are cortesy the dealer, so will take a call once i get the delivery.
4 Reverse cam

Any other suggestions!!!

I am expecting delivery sometime late next week, as the banks are not working for better part of this week.
Thanks Devil and congratulations on your booking as well.
The alloys and tyres cost me 35k for a set of 5 after returning the stock ones for a discount.

I hope you've decided to wait for the new stock to arrive. I waited for my car for about 25 days and have no regrets.

I'd like to add, during PDI ensure you check whether the rear door scrapes against the rear bumper on opening and closing. It's important as otherwise the door scratches the bumper badly. Also be ready for small niggles here and there, but the awesome overall package makes up for them.

Hope you enjoy your new car to the fullest. Cheers!

Sorry for the delay in posting the requested pic. I wasn't keeping well last week. Here you go with the pic of the IRVM with the reverse camera view.

The follow me home headlights come on every time I use the remote to lock the car. If there is a way to turn off this feature, I'm not aware of it.

Cheers!
Hope you are doing well now.

Thanks for posting the pic. I think you have the bigger mirror with the bigger LCD as compared to the previous VX model that I have. The next time you go to TASS check out the IRVM of a newer VX and let us know.

Fellow bhpian HappyWheels who has a GX is able to disable it. Steps to be followed are:
1. Switch off light.
2. Switch of engine.
3. take out key from ignition
4. press unlock
5. open door, lock and go home. No lights to follow.

Wonder whether this will work with your vehicle. Let us know.

Small correction here, the headlights don't switch on till the door is opened,
so step 4 above should be step 5 actually.

Thats the whole point of this, we dont want the lights to come on, so I guess the process is correct. 'HappyWheels' please comment.

I sometimes park in a shed right in front of my verandah and family sits there in the evening and the lights flash right on anyones eyes who is sitting there, and with HID's its a bugger for them and they hide their eyes with their hands as if they don't want to see me come home.

Hari, the 'remove key from key hole' & 'open door' is the trigger for the lights to come on. The whole game plan here is to stop the headlight from switching on.

I had the same thought, till I read the note below:

Now I truly understand why you are so much in pursuit of this happiness!

I believe there is another way, I noticed it after it happened, much later. Let me try it out and will let you know.

Hey thats good to hear that you like the way it looks. It was just a spur of moment decision like.

It was just one of those less work days, shifting through some old photos, and came across this one - taken at high altitude North Sikkim

Wrote those letters in Picasa, printed a copy and went to local signboard fellow out here. Vinyl print would cost much more and just said do it the way Sumo Victa is written in some Sumos out here. Gave the font style and the spacing ideas to him - damn good smart fellow, took up idea, and he had it done in 1 day, costed me RS 450 for both sides.

Thought why not have something written out here - may be would look good, and well searched for some domain names only that name was available. May be will put up a site some time later with all the stories of travel and personal travel pics - nothing on that site right now.

Wish that would have happened, any company new tyres donated/sponsored, both Bridgestone HT tyres now close to 40k, driven hard these 2 years, and need replacement urgently.

Let me write to MRF then for free tyres, they are having some good mileage from me!!

That's good ADC and thanks for letting us know and we had planned to put up the writing SAFARI on the claddings as written in the Pajero.

The work is neatly done and good work by the sticker guy.

Yes, we need a volunteer to test the MRF Wanderers & I think you'd be able to put them through the true tests of endurance!!

Awesome stuff ADC...

Waiting for some more pics and the travelogue. Just can't have enough of it.
After reading your experiences, I think I might as well go for a 4x2 LX and forget about a 4x4 EX!
