Safari LX engine immobilizer & rear demister

Experts please clarify the query:

On the Safari LX the missing essential safety features engine immobilizer and rear demister can be fixed at dealership / open market?

How much the engine immobilizer and rear demister costs?

harimakesh,
I suggest you post your query at http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techni...ns-thread.html. That would be an apt place to get your answers. Not that this can't be here though.

Hi Druva, congrats on your purchase. Your drive has nice mud flaps. Did they come factory fitted or you got them installed at the dealers?

Fitted by Concorde, Chennai. Even the floor mat was decent. Its soft and family likes. Only problem is it ATTRACTs dust.

Immobiliser is not advisable and demister cannot be fitted.....

Immobiliser I was told by concorde has chances of failure in aftermarket fitment and will leave you to no avail in the middle of nowhere some day...

Hope it helps :-)

This happened like some 2 months back. It was all due to my utmost carelessness. I was behind a truck in a relatively jammed road here in Kolkata. Though the roads were jammed up, for that moment there was uniform slow speed movement. I looked down for something, max for a second, and as I raised my head by that time the truck in front had stopped due to the jam again. As a result of seeing it stop at the last moment, with all brakes, I had a very slow speed collision with the truck from its behind. Of course nothing happened to the truck and though quite slow, I had a slight dent on the front bumper as do not have a bullbar. Other than the damage to the bumper, one of the front auxillary lights got rotated and such a little lose and it always points to the left. In the mountain roads it infact helped [!] as it illuminated the mountain road edge.

The driverside front fog light fell as it was a aftermarket attachment and it was done poorly and in all the bumps of the previous journeys the screw came out lose.

Two more of VTT

Help! To locate Black safari pic.

I saw pic of an all-black Safari with rain-visors on all four doors and an acrylic lip-like strip on the bonnet somewhere on teambhp. Heck, there are so many Safari pics and threads, I am not able to locate it. Can anyone direct me to it please? The best looking Safari on teambhp, I guess. Need this pic to convince my wife to buy a car which I do not need but want.

You need a test drive with with your wife to show the comfort and looks, why even the red-maroon VTT should be a favourite with the ladies!

Again some wonderful words. I will do one thing for certain now. This has been surely the last of big travels for me as it has exacted a huge amount of cost plus work loss for me, and the way we travelled for 3 years now with this Safari VTT. Of course none that we regret!

What I am going to do is to make a compilation of all these wonderful statements and push it as a petition to TM, at least they should support me now on the future travels!!

Anyway childish talk aside, here are 3 more VTT snaps. and BTW a 2wd Safari VTT can do almost quite a lot, push it and feel the boundaries - one will be surprised.

The widest part of the Chandrataal road. The scariest road of all, especially if are doing it all alone in October and returning late evening
