The flash was on while he took that picture. The reflectors in the lamps are reflecting the flash

Till date the only mods I've done on the exterior is
Installation of a Rear View Camera below the back number plate
Changing the stock rims and tires to VX type alloys & tyres 235mm to 255/ 65/ R16's
Thats it. no interior mods except the screen on the inside RVM's the 1st and 2nd pic.

You get into this Beast and i promise that you'll reclaim your life.

Go TD a Safari for over 20 kms on an open strecth you'll not part with it for life.
I am sorry I have posted my thought before taking any TD so far.

I will certainly do by next weekend. Which version should I try? I hope only the higher version (VX) covers most of its features.

Though my views on the car quality is different, I really admire its Design and style. But some of them looks older very soon on the road. Isn't it? Particularly the ones that come with Door plastics.

Benny,

Thanks for giving it a thought.

TD the new 2.2 VTT, it certainly packs lot of punch in it.

Safari's maintained well dont look old at all, mine is 2 yrs new and its been maintained spanking new till date.

This only because the Safari was a childhood dream for me and my younger brother.and we treasure it so much.

Similar feelings with other Safari owners also, i think this is the only reason why the second hand market has lesser Safari's for sale as compared to other cars.

Post your thoughts after the TD.

Simply_sunny.

25000 kms within 2 yrs thats too much man, Even tough we've been travelling long distances frequently we've just clocked 16500 kms only.

Amazing.Nice wheels though.

Overdose14.

Nice black beauty yours and nice to see the new Safari trims added on to yours.

adc.

Your pics reveal the real characteristics of the Safari. Looks like its been driven length and breadth of the country.

Keep it going dude.

WHERE ARE THE REST-dadu, steer, choxxi and all others.......? still waiting.

@Pavankadam
Nice thread. 'what an idea!'
This thread is growing on me. Other Safari related threads and a chat with Steer about his Safari during our tbhp DXB meet has left me drool for a Safari. Although I adored the looks during my college days, the negatives had put me off then. Now I think with the new engine and developments, Safari is a serious contenter.
I feel Safari has acquired a cult status in tbhp.
cheers: to all Safari owners.

Dhar's,

Thanks. The whole idea to start this thread is to showcase a cult SUV that is in hundreds on T-BHP.

What i've noticed is that there are numerous threads started about this SUV and lengthy replies, arguements/counterarguements happening. There's no other automobile that has so much of cult following as seen here.

Still waiting for T-BHP stalwarts to post their Safari's on this thread.

Only 9 so far!

thanks for appreciation sir,
i had added those safari trims right next day of the purchase and tried to get these for a friend and fellow bhpians but couldn't.
they are not of new 2.2

Here in Canada max freeway speed is 100 km/h and seriously if tata can sort out quality issues then safari can be good option here as most of the suv's here are small and big ones are BIG like GMC Denali.
and tata has a good petrol engine and even nicer new 2.2.
Really i'm missing her a lot.

For people who have got the reverse camera installed, does the install look as good and natural as the OEM install?

Djbobo,

Can u xplain about your after market fitment Reverse Camera and guide screen?

How good are they as compared to the OEM install. Is the pricing similar.

I asked the TATA guys they said they dont undertake OEM fitments .
