Here is the official site - euro2008.uefa.com - Home Page

Starting 7th June up to 30th June - get ready to spend sleepless nights

As is the norm - am setting up a poll - Guess the winner !

Group C looks to be the most dangerous one !

I just hate the Italian brand of soccer. Anyone but Italy. Heart wants Spain to win. But Spain is like South Africa of cricket. Under performers when it comes to the big stage. :(

This time my vote is for Netherlands. They have been my favorite team x22 yrs but haven't done justice to their talent and have always messed up at QF or SF.

Agree with you. Always felt they had the potential, but dont know why and where they ruin things. Anyways, for me its Germany. Maybe France too!

France looks like they are ready to teach others a lesson, especially Italy.
1) France
2) Italy.

I think man for man, Dutch teams have been the most talented for a long long time. But they haven't been able to achieve anything of note, apart from a couple of heartbreaking finals. This time they have a much more functional team, not the most talented (thank god, Van Basten got rid of Boulahrouz; definitely an Orange incarnation of Titus Bramble). I have a sneaky feeling they will do it this time.

If not the outside bet is Croatia/Portugal.

I guess this year is going to be Holland's Euro. Massively underperforming for ages, I guess it would be a fitting tribute to outgoing coach MvB. And its great to see them grinding victories rather than just playing entertaining football. I just hope van Persie stays injured

I think Czech underachieved in the WC. Its their time now. Incredibly talented team.

By the way, here is the schedule.

Welcome to rediff.com : Euro 2008 - Schedule

Some of the matches start at 9:30 pm IST, so we can watch time with convenience. The late night ones are difficult to follow, they start at 0015 hrs IST.

Nah wanderlustindia, normally the body clock is used to late nights in March/April/May when it comes to crunch time in the Champions League. June/July/August is the off season; this time the off season will have to wait till the second week of July.

PS: I told my boss I won't turn up with blood shot eyes on Wednesdays and Thursdays any more after the Champions League final. He is going to kill me.
