Good Library in NCR?

I am searching for some good libraries in NCR, which have a good collection of the latest fiction, especially Sci-Fi genre.
Proximity to Noida would be a plus point of course, but anywhere within south/central Delhi should also be okay.
I am aware of some british council libraries etc., but I guess they would be catering to the more "intellectual" type of books like Robert Frisk and Dahl etc.,
My tastes are more towards Hamilton, Asimov, Carke, Watts, Jim Butcher etc.,

There is one in Shipra Sun City. Well not exactly a library, more of a dingy shop, but it has an amazing collection of books. Membership fee is also very cheap - 125 bucks a month.

I'll check whether they have the authors mentioned by you.

Don't know of a library, but your best bet would be the Darya Ganj book market every Sunday.

Buy a book, and trade it after a fortnight or so once you have read it.

It is not now what it used to be 7-8 years ago. In recent years I had been there 3-4 times and have been terribly disappointed. Now you find only technical & MBA books and old magazines there.

You can borrow one book/magazine at a time. Thus potentially 30 books/magazines in a month.

I have taken two subscriptions and it's turning out to be much cheaper than buying magazines.

P.S. He also has the complete collection of Tintin and Asterix :-)

Yup i agree. Also a lot of same old stuff (eg: jeff archer etc)
Also Delhi/NCR is severely lacking a good public library.

There's a small book shop in Kamla Nagar near chota gol chakkar.. where you can buy second hand books and sell them back to the shopowner at 60-70% of the price after reading!

Cool! A few years back i would have jumped at this opportunity. But now i prefer buying books (new or old). Sometimes i have bought books i have read before simply because i loved them and wanted to own one

BTW..what kind of magazines. Just outlook/femina or beter stuff?

Thanks
Elito

Yes, they do. They have about 7-8 automobile magazines - Auto Car, Overdrive, What Car, Top Gear and some others. In addition to this they have Smart Photogrpahy and Better Photography.

If you want to check it out, it's in the basement on Regalia Heights, the 22 storey building in the center of Shipra Sun City.

No offence to delhi ites or anyone..but these days the concept of reading books seems to have died. The percent of youngsters/college goers who have never read a book is alarmingly high. Mobile phones and I pods have taken over where books used to be at one time.
A library will be hard to find TSK .. well defeinetly will be there in very small numbers.
