when we bought the mHawk, we sent it to my native- kerela. before leaving mumbai, its odo showed 1.2 lakh kms & now it shows 1.6 lakh kms.

i miss HIM in mumbai. its a real toughie. the next time i go to kerela, its time to gift it some new shoes & socks (tyres & wheels) & a good facial (polish). wish i had some more of his pics to share.

anyways, here is some totally ordinary pics of my hawk (so that Mods dont complain that we are not posting any pics)!!!

Infractions: 0/2 (8)

ruggedness yes - and with careful maintenance the scorp will not let you down on the "quality" aspect either - (i take your point on Toyota - they have had a fantastic quality reputation for ages).

even I dont give the scorp to anyone to drive - i almost always drive it myself only and I absolutely hate people who "ride" the clutch.

Indeed when I went to get some minor fiddly bits tidied up last saturday, the mech who drove it from the entrance of the service station to the inside, remarked on the quality of the clutch in my scorp.

my scorp which is now close to 19000 odd km - has absolutely no squeaks and rattles and still feels very nice to drive, each and every day.

I must say the more I drive it, the more I really like the vehicle.

Regarding the quality, it was never great in any version. I bought a first generation one after the first minor engine upgrade, and kept it till the then- new CRDe (non- facelifted) was launched, clocking just 25,000km or so. I am a very "soft" driver, and drive mostly by myself, but still there were some squeaks and rattles. The same car I saw at 65,000km at a used car showroom when I was looking for a car for my friend, and, you know, the car was really a "tinbox" (that's a correct word, I think) by then. But the owner said he was having no issues with the engine, gearbox or suspension. If you want quality and solid feel even after 75,000km, don't look here- look at a Qualis or Innova. But you can't fault any Mahindra vehicle for ruggedness.

Pictures very nicely taken at the beach. Your guy looks so strong! :-)
BTW, what is the bull bar brand/model? cost? and where did you get it?. It looks simple and solves its purpose.

Thank you.
