Where did you get this fixed from? Also did it require making a hole on the bullbar? If yes, then how did they do it?

Yep I know, I was joking . Jokes apart, it looks menacing. Please drive safely with pedestrians around. Sorry for being nosy about it.

The Bullbar was fixed at the time of purchase at AML motors. The Bullbar comes with a hole and all you need to do is remove the plastic stopper and fix the Flag rod.

It is a simple paint job.

No offence taken Blackpearl. I do drive sedately while in the city.

That is a real surprise for me. I have the bullbar for last 3 years but never saw anything like that. I will check it out tomorrow morning carefully once again to confirm.

Re: All T-BHP Scorpio Owners with Pics of their SUV

Does anyone here has any experience of fixing auxiliary lights on the standard bullbar of the Scorpio? I did check and there is no hole that can be used readily. Do I need to drill the holes? Can that be done locally or we need to take it to a lathe.

Also I need to do something to secure the Hella auxiliary lamp which I am planning to fix on the front bumper of my Scorpio. Keeping in mind that the lights are pretty expensive and I will not like to loose them, I am thinking of using the breakaway nuts which once tightened will break away from the head portion to make it permanent. I plan to use this on the outside of the normal nuts so this will also work as jam nuts and avoid loosening in the longer run.

Let me know what you all think about the same.

A link to check out the product is given below for reference.

I use Essential in city as it gives whitish light, Rallye on highways as it has brighter and longer beam throw and Micos are just spares to be used in emergency. In brief, I do get enough light from headlamps so happy with these Hella Nallas. In future, just for a change, I might change their bulbs to branded ones.
Can you please let me know if you fixed the lights by drilling holes on the bullbar or got some kind of a clamp? A closer picture if the installation will also be helpful.

Nice one Vikram, like the foggy conditions.

Just back from a sojourn in Goa, had a great drive back as it rained heavily from Cavellosim to Hubli! Will put up some pics soon.

Re: All T-BHP Scorpio Owners with Pics of their SUV

My Scorp has been busy, covering 3000 kms in the second half of June,:

13th to 16th June - Goa
23rd to 25th - Coorg
26th to 28th - Tamil Nadu: Coimbatore - Dindigul

Some pics except of the Coorg trip which my younger son did with his office friends.

13th June: held up in the ghats near Yellapur due to an accident in a sharp curve between a bus and a truck. The mighty muscular Scorpio is dwarfed by the trucks! Disciplined traffic, no one cutting into the wrong lane.

My baby 7 month old Scorp meets a veteran 9 year old Scorp in Goa. This belongs to the well known Scorpio owner in Goa, Allwyn. His beautiful Scorpio is still shiny after 9 years. It was a great pleasure to meet the Scorpio and its friendly owner.

26th to 28th June. I drove Bangalore - Coimbatore - Dindigul - Sirumalai and back. Just a friend and I, but I did all the driving. Scorp is so good for long distance; I drove, had meetings with clients and drove back and never felt tired at all. Total 922 kms, F/E 13.8 kms/litre with 100% A/C. Had some issues with the driver's side power window getting stuck first in open and then in closed positions! Problem cleared up on its own after some time.

On the way from Kovai to Dindigul, stopped for a pic between Kundadam and Dharapuram. A clutch of power windwills is in the background, but can't be seen in this wide angle mobile photo.

(EDIT adding a pic)

I had a long pending desire to eat biriyani at the famous Thalappakatti Biriyani in Dindigul. Found the place, the original Thalappakatti, and had lunch here.

My Scorp has completed 12,000 kms since Nov 2011. He's not trouble free, but I dearly love the big fellow! He reminds me so much of my beloved Alsatian who was a troublesome fellow but who was most fiercely loyal to me.

Nice pics, Damu! Specially liked the one with the windmills in the background. Allwyn's Scorp makes yours look positively underdressed!
