you can get it done in any car accessory shop, but you can never say which one is the best! so i am searching for a good shop who has done many such jobs before, no compromises on my scorpio...

My humble contribution to this thread.

Pic of my 2005 CRDE SLX. Clicked on way to Chitrkoot (UP). Beautiful stretch in a historical location. Was doing a pilgrim of central and northern India. Several thousand kilometers across varied geography but never a word of protest from the Scorpio !

Absolutely amazing!

How come your car looks so much better than mine?!

As for posting pics of the lovely places that she's taken you to, I don't think we need to have the Scorpio in EACH pic. At times, to covey the spirit, it can be just a pic of the place!

So then, we want more!
The lush greenery of places down south always amazes me. No, I'm not saying the grass is greener on the other side, LOL! I'd rather be close to the Himalayas.

@Drive factor: Welcome!
We never post just ONE pic! Some more please!
And your Scorpio will also need to be included in our 'collage'! But I think we'll wait for one or two more, so that a row (3 cars) can be completed.

And what a beautiful dirty backside your Scorpio has in that photo!

THIS is what any prospective buyer would love to hear about the Scorpio!
That is what I am still trying to find out: Does the Scorpio let you down badly, far away from home, EVER??

Ha, you are not alone in wondering how mansidea's Scorpio looks so much better than any other Scorpio you see on the road.

I have never felt that a Scorpio scores in the looks department, especially with the blandest/boring rear in the business, but the moment you set eyes on his Scorpio (in flesh or in pics), you start admiring the looks.

If it was just the pics, I would think he does some black magic with his camera while shooting his Scorpio. But I have seen his Scorpio in the flesh/metal and man it looks cool.

LOL, Condor, I wouldn't have known where to put the Scorpio in those two pics! Certainly NOT in the Parvati River!

More to do with this thought:

Does that sound OK? Will really enrich the thread and lure more 'lurkers' to come and see it!

But this thread is supposed to be dedicated to the machines ! Not to the places that they have been to ..

An intrinsic thrill of owning any such machine lies in what one can do with it; ie. in this instance, the wonderful places that it can take you to! And the resultant report of the difficulties and problems encountered is a valuable statement on the machine and of great interest to its prospective buyers!
After all, this machine was designed for the serious tourer! It finds relevance when those places are also linked.

I'm afraid, Sir, if you do not agree, you may post your disagreement with full freedom!

Agree with your first point. But extending all other, though related topics into this thread will dilute the essence of this thread.

Not to say we dont want to hear about your travels - we have a full section dedicated to that. A separate travelogue will mean there is focus to that specific trip alone in the particular thread, instead of having a hodge-podge (not to mention just bits & pieces) of all travelogues by all Scorp owners, into one thread.

Why mess it up, when we can spread it beautifully, one trip per thread, by every single Scorp owner ?
