Raj, in Delhi the Scorpio dealers get all this done for you. The Xenos chap came home and fitted the gearlock.

Exactly. And for fitting the gearlock it's TWO of them that will come, not one person. All you'll have to provide is a power outlet for their drilling machine!

... a cup of tea won't hurt!

BTW, the keyless entry/immobilizer fitted in my Scorpio is Nippon, at the behest of Sri Durga, a Scorpio dealer in Delhi.
I am truly ashamed of the lack/absence of security provided by M&M against car theft! Is it possible that they are of the very myopic view that more car thefts will result in a healthy bottomline for them??!!

yes, even i checked it and was going to correct my mistake, but its too late!
you are right, its nippon.

you are right, atleast they should have clearly specified in the manuals that the code of the immobilizer should be personalizied by every owner or better still, every car should have different codes which only the owner will know.
but i am not sure whether even that would be helpful as the thieves are very advanced these days.

It is obvious, from what I'm reading here, that the system is not the equivalent of Maruti's iCATs. There are as yet no reports of the iCATs having been hacked!
Why couldn't M&M incorporate that kind of protection in the mHawks, and indeed on ALL their vehicles?
Or, is there some kind of perverse pride to be had in topping the charts of the most desirable vehicles in the thieves gallery?

Here's a snap I like off the album from the MP trip, on the hills somewhere after Jabua. Since this is a Picture section, thought I'd keep the ticker rolling....

I have a question on timing belt on the Technical Section; Scorpio Gurus please give your valueable comments. Thanks.

hi All,

I am thinking of getting the upper panel(non functional) of the rear lights on my Scorpio smoked/blackened.This would then leave the functioning rear lights stock.

BBS, can I request you for a photoshop job on the rear lights upper panel of a black scorpio/mhawk to show it blackened. Asking you as you are our inhouse 'photoshop expert'.

Hi Anup, Many thanks for the pic. Also I liked the bottle holder. How much does this cost?

I also would try to see if I can blacken a black scoprs tail lamp's upper portion.
