Didn't I tell you in "stay away from those horns"!!

@ 14000rpm: sorry buddy, not my type!

@ bhp1: yes mate, you had. but the horns got damaged because my driver accidently sprayed water on them. i have no idea why the battery got drained. whatever it is, i'll get this rectified and then update.

Raj,

Sorry to hear that! Vinay is right in saying that the wind horns need to be covered in plastic to keep water away from them.

Congrats Vinay in becoming a BHPian!! Cherish the journey further.

Also, my guess is the loose wire must have been grounding the power overnight resulting in draining the battery. Always keep loose wires taped safely. This is one of the common reasons for car fires too!!
I am sure once you get back your charged battery your scorp is back to Normal

14000- i am not for that kind of oversized alloys/tires! Probably a similiar design in 16" would be great to see!! BBS, photoshop please!!

thanks a lot for confirming both the things surya.

now i will fit the horns in such a way that the mouth of the horns point downwards, to keep away water and dust.

about the loose wire, i had a doubt that a loose wire left like that can drain the battery, though i was not sure. thanks for confirming that, i got to know the real cause. glad to know it is not my scorp's fault!

Raj, I'm not too sure about that loose wire.
Voltage would only appear at that wire when the horn button is pressed.
Rest of the time it would be sitting there without any voltage, and hence no current flow. How would this run down the battery?

this was exactly the same question i asked the battery-wallah. and he said 'it can' though he dint give me a clear explanation. seems he was confused himself.

actually, no claddings and nice big wheel arches complemented by these alloys would make the scorpio a better looker. The claddings from mahindra aren't of good quality and one can notice waves in its surface when seen from the side.

Hear you on the cladding quality, though could be worse (safari).

I really like those wheels, is this something available in market or just a photochop for s&g's?

A story I would prefer not to repeat!!

I was sitting in front and watching the whole thing unfold with heart-in-mouth........ scraping that truck and the ORVM flying!!!!! Not one of our pround moments.

This statement, Raj, is quite intiguing. How has the macho appeal enhanced with these horns?
