the earlier horns (standard ones) were too feeble and sounded like it was meant for a hatchback.

this one suits the appeal and size of an SUV, its the tone, not the loudness.

Thank God,

I didnt get time to get them last week. I think I will stick to the stock horns for some time.

Urgent help / Advise required:

After 3 & 1/2 months of ownership I am starting to gett too many niggles in my Scorpio (some I already told):

1. Front right break making a squealing sound while breaking on low
speeds.
2. The entire front of the car squeaks even after a small pot hole / speed
breaker.
3. The locking remote refuses to function at time, I have to press it
multiple times to unlock / lock. The range is pethetic, my Wagon R Auto
cop would work within 50 mts.
4. MOST IMPORTANT:

The 5th gear is slipping into neutral on its own, it has happened a few times now, this morning I actually was monitoring it, I was at 80 driving on the 5th & suddenly I feel the Tech revving to 4000 RPM, & when I see the gear, it is neutral.

This is at times happening on the the 3rd gear also.

Any one who faced the same problem.

I have got an appointment with the Service guys for Saturday, so in the meantime if I could get some advise on the issues it would be helpful to tell the service guys.

Getting new issues on a daily basis my position today is like someone who has run away from home & got married with complete disapproval from the family and realised that he married the wrong gal.

I am just waiting for the comments to start flowing "I told you..." "Buy a SX4" etc etc, the moment the better half is back in town.

I really like those wheels, is this something available in market or just a photochop for s&g's?

Not having heard these, I'd like to know whether the 'tone' is low or high pitched.
IMO what suits large vehicles is low frequency horns!

And I am strictly against any mods! Keep the vehicle STOCK for maximum reliability!!

Tight overtaking procedure that didn't quite make it. Ok. Get the picture. Good to know you and HVK are fine.

Cheers,

even i do not believe in extensive modifications like body work or something but i do believe in some personal touch to my car, so that its different in the crowd.

Nice Pics of your ride Anirban. Jim's has a couple of awesome trails to explore in an SUV specially around August when the flash floods happen. Its dangerous but amazing fun.

Upreti, don't lose heart, though it does look quite depressing! You definitely need to talk to the Works Manager and make sure your complaints are listed on the job card. Further, the feedback MUST go to M&M!

1) The pads/shoes seem to be suspect here.
2) Front dampers probably need replacement.
3) Try changing the battery on the remote. Also, possibly relocate/reorient the Nippon control box, if your system is a retrofit. If OEM, the position ought to be correct.
4) Gears slipping might be as simple as an adjustment of the actuating lever, or it could be a serious problem within the gearbox. If it is the latter, insist on a replacement of gearbox! Never heard of such a problem before, for Scorpios.
Do keep us updated.

Good PS work, though I'd start with a higher res/better quality initial photograph but I'd imagine it would be hard to find unless you took it yourself.

Are these wheels available in India?

I guess these wheels will not be available anywhere because the wheels and claddings have been chopped from the Ford F-250 Super Chief concept truck.
