great, i like the fine detailing incorporated in the wheel mount & white painting. Its just not that your pillars need a bit more detailing. why dont you get the area marked in red below painted in matt black or stickered?

Raj,
I have noticed it.Didnt get time to make one more trip to TVS. Will do it next month when I reach home. Some more fine detailing I have done in the car. Attached are the photos with pointers.Any more suggestions, please let me know.I just wanted my Scorpio to be little different and to my taste. Also tried to solve some of the minor problems with the car.Want to finish all the jobs in my next visit to TVS.
Ideas in my mind
1. Gear lock.
2. Dead pedel from Xylo.
3. A good bush guard like the one from "Classique for INNOVA , if its contour suits Scorpio Bumper.

Thanks. Did'nt know what kind of terrain I was getting into when I signed up for it, but it was good to find out there were 2WD and 4WD tracks and service vehicles there to help out if someone was stuck.

Nice set of alloys too. Your ride comfort and handling might have improved after you changed over to the alloys ?

Wishing many many more succesful OTR ventures in the future
Thanks. Yes the alloys did help a bit in improving the performance, but I found a significant improvement after replacing the 235 size rubber to 255 Hankook. Much softer ride and excellent handling at high speeds.

I've been thinking of installing lights like that, but some people tell me my car looks cool without them...even I kinda like the naked look in front.

Its nice to see you are using your machine to its fullest !! Keep it p and please do post more pictures.
Thanks man. Same here, love the old scorpio look. I paid about 6K for the Hella (9in dia) a few yrs ago. Don't see much of Hella lights on sale these days. You could contact them from their India website if interested. Will try and post some more pics soon.

Just go through different ownership reports and other treads related to Scorpio in TBHP and you will be convinced that major problems with Scorpio are minimum.I was following all these treads ,ownership reports and reviews for a long time. Also had talk with a number of Scorpio owners and with the Mechanics of Mahindra dealer.Ofcourse I didnt use Scorpio extensively before. But was confident in the product.
Now if at all if some thing goes wrong , nothing to worry, just face it.

@Ray: Interesting work with the extra beading. The inside of the doors are a real mess after driving in heavy rain? How was the beading installed? Was is screwed in? What beading was used?

You have done some good improvements on your scoripio and should probably start your own thread on the details and driving impressions, etc...

Thanks Sumantra, but your expression upon seeing me in this vehicle was priceless. Will stay on with me and my sis for ever.

However, this Scorpio is not a beast. As I mentioned its more of a "Gentle Giant"

Yes, there will be, but hadn't got a chance to shoot. Even the delivery process lies in our human memories only. Will shoot some and will upload.

I had just a couple shot while the car was brought to the dealership before I paid for it.

Thanks Ben. Hopefully Ikon will be able to concentrate on just bringing the smiles part without having to bother about daily commute to office duties.

Unfortunately, Planet is right. I got absolutely pathetic responses from the dealers on my initial enquiry. Leave the colour choices, some in them did not even know about the availability of 4WD with mHawk engine.

It was a fellow team-bhpian who was of immense help to chanellise me to the right contacts. Its there that I learnt that the colour choices are still limited to white and black (coming from top sales folks in the company). The reason cited was low demand for the 4WD as a variant. Took quite a bit of deliberations to get it in rocky beige.

About Java brown, I was e-mailed by the top exec that Java brown was one of the three colours that the 4WD was launched with (including white and black). Later it was discontinued on low demand. Now if that top exec was not being totally correct on the facts, it gives a pretty dent on the expectations from this company.

Anyway, getting used to driving around from the perched driving position, especially bikers overtaking from the left.

Vehicle drives good. Handles great. As I had heard before the 4wd handles better. Test drove a 2wd for direct comparison.

I am also told that this is the first 4WD mHawk in Kolkata area, as well as the first 4wd mHawk in Rocky Beige colour anywhere in India. Even if its not, that sentence certainly feels good.

Will post an ownership thread soon. Not to enamoured by the company, but enjoying the vehicle nevertheless.

The Name choices are between "Marengo" and "Gentle Giant"

Its certainly not the ogre/shrek given its size and greenishness.

I guess, the last pic is of the seats folded, as his 4x4 has middle captain seats.
