why you asking anup buddy? PU means polyutherene. its better than fibre as it doesnt break and is costly, hence the high price.
i have no idea about the model name or number as it was imported. yes, this is also 1 of the reason for the high price.

the same carryboy guard is fixed on my scorp
this cost me 10000/-
it is a polyurethane plus metal fixture - there is one more variant of this which comes with a pair of foglamps mounted on it - that one costs 13500/-
I like this bull bar because it looks nice and I assume will provide some protection in the event of a bump, though of course I would prefer not to check that aspect physically!

Gowdre,

Whatever raj's got is Carryman, and not Carryboy.

Yes even i enquired with Manipal they say the price is around 7 k + Fitting. and the roof carrier will cost around the same price.

Rs 13000/- is way too high a price to pay man.

Oh oh, I'm being confused with someone else!
Mine is the 'stockest' Scorpio around, with nothing fitted to it's front, back, sides, top or bottom.

yes, sorry anup, i got confused between you and shankar. yes, i wont deny that 13,000 is a hefty amount but this guard is a bit bigger in size than the one shankar has got. moreover, i was not able to get the guard from carryboy. so i opted for this one. even this one is PU plus metal fixture.
apart from the cost part, i hope this guard suits my scorpio and makes it look good. wat say mates?

yes raj I like the look of your scorp with this guard
it is soft so in case (god forbid) some blunderbuss decides to prostrate himself in front of your vehicle while you're on the road (at low speed), you can atleast be sure that it wont hurt the feller.

jokes apart. It is a good useful addition, given our normal driving conditions - it functions as a sort of psychological deterrent.

thanx buddy, if it looks good, then i think its worth the money spent. i luv my scorpio, like we all do. so i think if you like something for her, you should go for it. to an extent, money should not be an issue . thats the reason i opted to pay 3000 more.
yes, it is indeed soft, so no worries about breaking or cracking. also no tensions about paint fading or peeling as it is its natural colour.
yes, due to our road conditions, this will be a saviour as i wanted to protect my front number plate as it is made of glass and has LEDs in it.
