Nice pictures Ganesh. Welcome to tbhp.

Hey ramky, you are back after a break? Excellent pictures. How can you call it a stock scorpio with that turn indicators on your ORVMs?
BTW You missed the goa meet.

the pics rock dude... also i loved mansidea's dirty scorpio!
btw mansi, i have blackened my B and C pillars for 800 bucks. is the price ok? but i faced a problem after the C pillar. since the side glass of the boot is a single piece in my scorpio and not the split setup like in yours, the person was not able to paste the vinyl there. so there seems to be a sort of disconnection. but he has cut it in a curved manner to make it look a little better. will post the pics soon, waiting for your's and fellow member's comments.

Mansidea, great pics! Plenty of red mud around that side?

And you are right about Ramky: His photos are great, but how can he call that a stock Scorpio? Do note the chrome front grille as well!

hey mate, the GLX was the older version top end variant with the SZ 2600 turbo engine. those days, the variants were base, DX, GLZ and REV116 (petrol). when the CRDe was launched, the GLX was replaced with the SLX. now, even the SLX is discontinued. now the variants are LX, DX, SLE, VLS and VLX.

Hai Mansidea,

Was pretty busy after my long drive and could get some time for a trip to Udaipur last week.

I did miss the Goa meet, any threads here? How many Scorps were there?

Your Scorp looks real SUVish in the mud and grime, the way its supposed to be. The pure while look gives it a city-ride image, don't wash

Around Diwali time, if any Scorper is game, we can think of meeting someplace, I can try for rooms / stay etc., through our corporate contacts.

Happy Driving.

Well, Raj, that looks great!
But, as you mentioned earlier, there is that small glitch near the 3rd window.

Mine is a 2004 GLx, it is chain driven and has SZ2600 plus engine. The only difference between a GLX and SLx is:

SLx has a sexy voice to let you know that the fuel tank is getting empty, fasten the seat belts etc.

SLx has small night assist lights on the foot board and also has follow me lights.

BTW, SLx also came in non-CRDe mode as well.

glad to know that you feel its a "sexy voice" because many here feel its irritating! i thought the SLX was introduced along with the CRDe. thanks for clearing that up mate.

Why couldn't the vinly go under the rubber window trims? Is it the same on the left side also?

Yep mine is the non CRDe SLX. The CRDe was introduced from March 2005 onwards still carrying small tail lights and leaf rear suspension from the previous variants. From Jan 2006 tower tails and coil rear was added. (I think!!!)
