Thanks a lot for that information. I usually only use the app to transact and it showed nothing like that, so had once checked with the customer care and the guy at the other end quite confidently refused.
Today I sold some stuff and tried placing order. The order went through, so it works. Otherwise it asks to allocate funds.

PS: No allotment for me in HUDCO. None of my known people got any allotment.

Re: Do you play the stock market

I got an sms around noon stating that I have been allocated 200 shares to my demat account. So, I logged into icicidirect and checked under 'Equity' > 'Demat Allocation' but it is yet to reflect there. The amount of 11600 is still shown as blocked. How long does it take to reflect in the account?

No HUDCO allotment for me too. Applied through two accounts but no luck
When will it be available for public to buy from the market?

I heard it is going to list today on the exchanges. Everyone is expecting the price to go up.

How can it list today if the allotment has been done yesterday? Have the lucky ones already got the shares into their demat accounts?

Hi,

How does one know that he/she has not been alloted any shares at all? Even if the alloted shares & refund columns in ICICI shows 0, I haven't received any SMS about allotment/non-allotment or any refund yet.

Thanks.

Cheers,
Vikram

Here is an article about listing of HUDCO today. Try this link for checking allotment status: https://www.alankit.com/hudco-ipo-status/

Thanks Saanil! The result was shares allotted = 0

Now, will I get a refund or is the amount debited only in case of allotment?

Cheers,
Vikram

Most of us are not active traders. So I am moving my market activities to a professional PMS (Motilal Oswal). At the same time i am divesting my stock holdings.

Re: Do you play the stock market

Two applications of two lots each, no allotment to either.

We were luckier with D-Mart, two out of four applications were picked.

What HDFC does is, they keep a amount on hold (you can't see it in your regular balance) until the allotment is done. If you get allotted some shares, only that amount will get debited. If you don't get any shares, it'll be like nothing ever happened.

HUDCO: I did not get any sms till now. Yesterday the above link did not work for me. Today too it did not work with my PAN as input. Then went to icici, on clicking "executed" in the order page, it says 0 against allotment, so got the application num details from there and tried with that in the above url. it says allotted 200. Now I went to icici demat allocation page, I do see 200 allotted.
So its good.

I received an SMS from the IPO allotment system which read, " No shares allocated to IPO application number XXXX "

I also received an email from BSE, stating the same. The amount was unblocked in my HDFC bank account

That is how it should and does happen with almost every bank.
Balance remains same if there are no allotments and gets deducted only when there are.
Please do correct me if otherwise!
