PE = 6.45 and PB<1.

Please share what was your conviction, apart from the numbers? What other relevant information did you find in your digging?

Do you know GOI is planning for 15% stake disinvestment in NLC?

Fordday.

Venkeys share almost scaled 400 points over the last 2 days. Any views on this?

It is partly to do with beef ban mongering.
Investors are paying premium to Venkys hoping that a bulk of that group now have to move to chicken meat.

Says it all. Overbought, overvalued. If I had any I would unload little by little before the stock crashed down, someone is kiting it very high right now.

This article would help in explaining the collapse.

Thanks for the link. Rahul Gandhi is way better than this guy . He never answered a single question directly.

Any views on ITC Limited? I have some units of ITC bought last week but since prices have dropped. I am thinking of getting some units more at this low price.

CNBC Awaaz analysts are predicting this share to reach 400 from current 330 in coming weeks.

Should I add few more units of ITC?

I'm consistently buying and holding ITC LTD. It is a pretty decent buy.

The so called analysts are not doing you any favour with tips. They are working for their clients and their interests. Its not a good idea to act on tips.

Ideally you should do your own analysis. Look at the company's numbers, where it is now. What is the PE now and historic PE. What is the earnings growth, is it slowing or the company is able to maintain or even increase its growth. Have they done any investments recently that can help with growth. Based on the study you could analyse what could be the forward PE next year and at present growth level if it can go higher. At least this way is an informed investment.

People who give tips on TV have their clients and they already would have positioned them for these tips. It is quite likely that they might have advised their clients to exit the counter and on TV they are advising unsuspecting folks to invest so that their clients can get an exit opportunity. I am not saying it is the case with ITC but one cannot rule out the possibility. ITC has zoomed significantly in recent times, much much more than how it moves historically.

I had applied for the AU Small Bank IPO and got allotted a lot of 41 shares. On the second day I sold ten shares to encash some of the profit since I felt the price might come down after the initial surge. But now it seems otherwise. Should I stick on for a longer time for the remaining shares or should I remain invested? Not in need of the cash and but at the same time don't want to lose the profit too. Any suggestions?

Stay Invested. Although it looks expensive according to valuations, but there are a lot of positives to justify the valuations.

I received a message today saying there are rumors of SEBI looking at putting the newly listed scripts like AU & CDSL into T2T segment. This was the trigger for the price to come down from 720'ish to 630. I sold off mine at 655, since once it moves to T2T, the day traders will completely avoid the scripts.
Even CDSL, which was hovering near the circuit limit of 10% at around 485, came down into negative grounds.

Even though it may be a rumor, on second thoughts I can relate to the thinking. Since there is no way a company valued at 1x will suddenly become worth 2.5 & 3x in couple of months. There is no change in the business realities to warrant such valuations.

Many recent IPOs which had stellar run ups till last evening (upto 300% in some cases) have dropped big time today. I bought AU on Monday at 525, sold off today at 680. A decent 30% gain in 4 days.
It has crashed to 570 today when I last checked. A fall of over 17% in one day.
