How did you apply for IPO? Online or via a broker?
Refunds are faster for online applications whereas traditional broker route takes longer(2-3 weeks).

Honey, Being a core mech guy, I still love PEN and PAPER [ aka BRICK and MOTOR ].

Yes, I did go through my ILFS broker and NOT online.

Keeping my fingers crossed for funds for investments

What known fact???? They requested the papers only recently in March 2009. And they de-activated the account last month. You are talking as if its my fault that I have not submitted the docs that ICICIDIRECT HAS LOST in the first place!!

Anyway, let me know what is the remedy? In fact, as I mentioned already, I have re-submitted the documents, but neither has ICICIDirect confirmed receipt of the documents nor have they re-activated the account.

I had to resubmit my documents to ICICIDIRECT twice. The guy who collected it from me last time told me that they were doing that to flush out the "forged accounts". Anyway it took about a week for them to update my account with the status "documents for re-execution received". Keep sending emails to the helpdesk and ask them to open a service request to track the status.

Up 60% since I bought the stock. (I think about 6 months ago).

Looks good to me, but they seems to have a tough time finding buyers for their oil, because the number of refineries that can refine that type of oil, is limited.

Edit: Yay.. For those who have been following my story, my ICICIDirect account has re-enabled after a bit of ear bending phone call to the Helpline on friday. Do you think I should liquidate and run away from ICICI while I still can?

hi
it is very difficult to predict the direction of the market and i think it is not needed too. you have to see "what is happening." it seems market is in sideways mode with positive bias. we have to plan what we are going to do instead of trying to predict the markets

Are you betting on Nifty or a particular stock/sector? It is entirely possible that nifty goes up, but the stock(s) that you bought goes down.
