Hi Friends, need one info. I recently opened a 3-in-1 account with ICICIDirect. While opening the account I had to sign a Power of Attorney along with 2 stamp papers, one worth Rs/- 50 and another 100 towards ICICIDirect. I was hesitant to sign it, but knowing that to do online trades I have to provide PoA, I signed it. But I didn't keep a copy of it. May I know if this is the norm while opening an account with ICICIDirect? What are the ways the broker can misuse it? And what are the precautions I can take to avoid it? I searched ICICIDirect for a copy of the PoA form, but couldn't locate it. Do any of you can point me to a URL to download that form?

Hi, don't worry too much about the POA, it is required for all companies I think, not just ICICI direct.

Without your consent they won't place any trades. If you are using online platform only to buy and sell yourself, then it is even better, there is no confusion at all and their involvement is not there. I would suggest you do that.

Well, I went straight to
Customer Service > My Account > and,..then under My Profile> My Account Opening form I could see 5 links to docs out of which 4th was the PoA.
Hope this helps (fyi - For me it is scan of 3 pager, & its a 13 year old account)

Long-term outlook of these two companies is good with good capital growth. Both have excellent dividend history. One is a government enterprise, while the other is a well-adminsitered private sector bank. The present dividend yield of OIL is 5.34% and that of Karnataka Bank is 4.62%, according to Money Control. They are less volatile, thereby reducing the risk. So, whenever there is a dip in the market, I buy these shares purely for long-term investment. Even if the maket does not recover, I can enjoy the regular tax-free good dividend!

See how Mold-tek packaging went up from 170 to 320 in a short time as profits soared. Cupid Ltd is another small cap gem which is riding low latex cost like the tire companies. There should be many more.

Now Torrent power is benefiting from low gas prices.

Hi, not sure...everything small is cracking today.

Cupid, I had bought at 270 and would not buy at current price as margin of safety is less as per me. If it corrects to 300, would be quite interesting. Have a look at Pharma stocks like Jubilant Lifescience and Neuland Labs. Take solutions also look good after the corrections.
