Hmm I guess than the Tokyo and HK indicis were also crashed 1200+ points by this guy. He is more powerful than we thought he is! Pun intended.
And what about the two basket deals shorting 21 lakh and 54 lakhs by Soros. That guy brought down the sterling in 1992. This kind of stuff is peanuts for him.
I seriously think its soros. The reliance conspiracy theory is just a bonus.

In my opinion its the 10 year syndrome - 87, 97, 07(08) - should have corrected in the last week of Nov 07 / 1st week of Dec 07, but maybe the Reliance folks held it to help their IPO. Invest now and look at it rise in the next 10 years

You stole my words, bro. Globally, markets are falling & certainly reliance on a certain brand or name can't make the market fall. I mean when Dhirubhai Ambani passed away, did the markets fall so sharply. Naah.

And I will say, wait till Feb and start picking...

Power On, Go India Go...

Actually I haven't.. How can I, when I made a bit of money betting on the fact that eventually the bro's will split amicably inspite of all the shadow boxing .. Even otherwise, that war was over money only na.. Its not like they wanted a share of DA's legacy!!

Actually if you think about it - its not just ONE brother. It is both of them working in tandem.

I mean think about it - WOULD BOTH THE BROTHERS TOGATHER HAVE ACHIEVED HALF OF WHAT THEY BOTH HAVE ACHIEVED INDIVIDUALLY ?

Looks like Gautam's shooping list needs some further additions.

EDIT : I would put my money on Tata motors for now.

i do not think it is big brother. as of now it is not possible for single individual however big he/she may to cause such a fall.

But think of reliance changing all phone connections ( both company and individual) from reliance to air tel ( all over India) . all phone and broad band connections were changed on war footing to air tel after the split.

imagine if this happened in govt. news papers should have cried foul at the wasting of public money. here too lots of public money was wasted( share holders).

this shows the antipathy between the brothers

it is also rumored big bro even extended helping hand to air tel in thwarting chota bhai's attempt to acquire Hutch

I bought NTPC Ranbaxy and Powergrid today
3 Fundamentally strong scripts.
Plan is to hold out for a few months, or if profits come early, take them

I had RNRL at 221, today it went to 91, and I resisted the urge to sell. but did not buy any too.
I have MF investment in Reliance natural resources. It opens in 1 Feb. Hope the NAV does not fall below 10rs!

I would advise staying away from IT stocks !! I mean, they didnt go up when the market was going up. Do u expect them to go up now !! Dollar looks bleak as ever.

Technology stocks at time of US recession... Too much risk, I would ride on the infrastructure wave. I am sure govt will keep building roads and increase power generation capacity for atleast a year.
However, I have a couple of technology Mutual funds, which hopefully will do good in a few months. Anyways even the hammering failed to seriously hammer the rupee(unfortunately)

Now all depends tomorrow morning. If the market opens positive from current levels(i.e. continuing the recovery trend, then its cautions trading for a couple of months).

Anyways any idea about suzlon. Is it a good buy after the face value split?

I am going to buy more into two of my favourite scrips - HDFC Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank. I think its better to wait till next week for the volatality to settle down although Kotak has already zoomed to 995 from a low of 850 in the morning!

It is a very good scrip and has a lots of potential to go upside from here.It was a one of the gainer's yesterday but had a fall today which was expected. Stick on to this for another 2 years and you will reap gold.

For short term, it would have made sense to by it before the split.
