Does investing through CAMS in mutual funds mean a Direct investment , that is, No entry/exit load?

And any clue about where the reliance power bonus issue went? The market seems to have simply ignored the announcement.

Just tell me for online trading which is better...

icicidirect.com
or
hdfcsec.com

So that i could finalize & open a account in that...
I suggest ICICIDIRECT is good enough. Its easy and its faster.

I think HDFC Sec do not have their own online trading site. They have an agreement with Kotak i guess.

But ICICI is good. I am pretty much satisfied with all that it is offering.

I am very much active in the market.
Was sitting on heavy profits and was planning to buy a Palio 1.6.

But the market tumbled in Jan 08 and my plans for the Palio have been delayed, and my signature shows that .

Good in a way, because now I am thinking to go for Palio MJD.

This surely proves that the Stock Market and Cars are related, atleast in some way !

Guys,

Any ideas about Reliance Liquid Plus Debt mutual fund ?
How good it is ?
Is it better to invest in Debt mutual funds rather than Equity ?

Debt mutual funds provide assured but low returns unlike Equity funds which have unassured but high returns.
The returns vary between 6-8% depending on the composition.

A day trader's diary

Hi,

This is my own account. I feel really bad today so writing it here to vent my anger.

I started investing in securities very recently, from 12th Feb, 2008. Before that I had no interest in stock-market and whenever my friends used to discuss share-vares I used to get really bored.

Anyways I also took the plunge and started with a capital of 2.5 lakhs. In 3 months I made a profit of about 19K.

But then I was introduced to day-trading. Initally I made some profit - about 2-3K, then one had lost 9K on Orchid. Vowed never to margin-trade again, but this is really addictive. I started again very cautiously, made a profit of 4K last week, and then today I betted very heavily on Videocon, and lost about 20K.

It's not a small money but neither is too much to have any serious effect. But I feel like a real ***. I decided to refrain from something and couldn't. I feel like a loser.

From today onwards it's a strict no-no for me to margin-trade; and this time it's final.

Welcome to the long term investors club !! Once, I had bet on Reliance futures and had a notional loss of 80K in just one day !! Lucky for me, I held my nerve and it recovered in the next few days. Even got away with a tiny profit to boot. But there after, I said bye bye to Futures and all that lunatic stuff.
