Re: The "Jobs available in my organisation" thread

Job market scenario looks pretty bleak.

Am in the lookout for a decent move from my existing company and unfortunately no good calls!!

Fellow brothers from HR, whats the actual scenario?
How much longer will this lull continue.

BTW, I am from the hospitality sector and in a senior role in Sales, Strategies & Marketing

Re: The "Jobs available in my organisation" thread

Hello guys, I am into software testing since almost 6 years now.
I want to make a career switch into a more creative oriented profile.
More of like a photoshop editor.
I have been using photoshop for almost 8 years now, but do not have any certification or professional qualification .

Please suggest as to how can I make the shift?
Do I need any professional qualifications?

Walk into any ad agency with samples of your work. See if they're hiring.

Though testing can be, and is, pretty creative when you reach higher levels in it. It demands actual knowledge of a product, not blindly writing and executing test cases (especially manual ones). Once you go into continuous development and similar, you'll realize just how interesting it can be.

+1 to that. I am in such a role and also involved in product design sometimes.

However, growing into that role depends on whether you are really interested in your domain and how much effort/time you are willing to invest to develop expertise.

You can test the waters in some freelance job sites like odesk (now upwork), elance or even fiver. Plenty of opportunities for newbies out there. Once you have built up a good profile there, you can decide whether you really want to continue on that career path and do necessary certifications.
