need to move household goods from singapore to India - help please

hi all. i stay in mysore and my married sister is a PR of Singapore staying since past 15 years. She and her Husband are now moving to London.they own a house in singapore which they intend to sell.they asked me if i want i can take all the household articles till the last door mat.every thing from home theatre to wine glass are of top quality and in excellent condition.now my issue is how to get it to Mysore? sis said she can get them loaded to contaniers and ship to chennai qthout fuss. but she is not moving to india, but to london so TR does not apply. how to invoice? what are the procedures and how to go about this?

You will need to get in touch with customs here and get details or it could turn out to be more expensive than buying all that stuff from India itself .

First, you may not need all the stuff

second, customs is tricky for non TR stuff

three, it may not be worth the effort, some of the stuff might not work by the time it arrives

fourth - has your sister seen uk prices ? By all means ditch/sell the larger appliances like the washing machines etc.
