Seems Insurance companies have added a new variable to car insurance policies: Star Signs!! Yes, studies have revealed which signs are the most and the least likely to be involved in accidents!!
One survey finds that GEMINIS are the WORST drivers  and CAPRICORNS are the BEST (Yay! I am one!) Quote: Which star signs have the best and the worst drivers?
Suncorp Metway, Ltd., a multi-faceted Australian Financial Service company, ranked car accident claimants by their star sign in a study of 160,000 accident claims over a three-year period.
It is always hard to disagree with the facts – and this is what they found:

How do the personality traits of persons with these star signs explain their driving?
Worst drivers
The worst drivers – Geminis – are “typically described as restless, easily bored and frustrated by things moving slowly,” explained Warren Duke, Suncorp’s national manager of personal insurance. “They had more car accidents than any other sign.”
Second and third place holders for this dubious honor are Taurus and Pisces. “Taureans were thought to be obstinate and inflexible, “said Duke,” while Pisceans could be risk-takers and daredevils.”
Interpretation of these findings by astrologers
Astrologers have also shared their opinion and provided some interesting explanations:
Taurus
Taurus can be obstinate and inflexible, but they are also the most introverted and self-absorbed of all the signs. At a very fundamental level, the world outside the chassis of their car may not exist at all. Since freeway driving requires spatial perception and processing of much abstract information (speed, flow and distance), this is counter to their natural way of processing the world around them.
Pisces
Pisces, in the number three position, is the other sign that lives in a world of its own. Duke describes them as potential risk takers and daredevils. Pisces are the gentle dreamers of the zodiac. They may spend many hours a day in fantasy worlds, escaping the painful realities of life on the physical plane and, more often than not, the pain of being in a physical body. They often experience the whole manifest world as an illusion and their presence in it as temporary and of little importance.
This Pisces detachment from the physical can lead to unconscious feelings of invulnerability or invincibility, also to unconscious feelings of victimization and sacrifice. If you are momentarily deluded into thinking you don’t have physical limits, and that your life is but a fleeting moment in the eternal life of the soul, you can respond to situations of physical danger in illogical ways. Or, at the very least, be slow on the uptake.
The Best Drivers
Capricorns
They came last on the list of accident claimants and are typically described as patient and careful. It’s no surprise Capricorns are the safest behind the wheel. They’re the safest at everything! Their patience and sense of responsibility are legendary.
Sagittarians
Sagittarians may stay safe in their cars the same way they do in life, by having superbly developed higher minds. Another name for this mind is intuition. The highly developed sense of flow and good timing characteristic of Sagittarians is what makes them the lucky sign. Furthermore, their minds are right at home dealing with traffic patterns, flow and spatial relations.
Scorpios
Scorpios may stay safe because they are intimately involved with the inner lives of others in the same way their opposite sign Taurus is defended against this information. Scorpios are sensitive to energy— whether it is a foot away or thousands of miles away—and can feel someone “coming up from behind” at many different levels. That’s why we always feel like they can see right through us. They can.
Scorpios would be the drivers who would instinctively “wake up” in time to let a cocaine addict pass them at 95 or give a wide berth to a passive aggressive soccer mom hassling two kids in the back seat and a phone conversation with her husband all at the same time.

Another study: Quote: Danger! Star-sign car crashes ahead.

WHEN it comes to having a costly car crash or motoring accident, it's all in the stars? A new analysis by insurance experts. A major study of 30,000 claims has revealed that your star-sign is a sure-fire pointer to your chances of having a prang. Bullish Taureans have the highest cost of claims, averaging 930 per accident with BMWs featuring as the most prominent casualties. Ram-like Arien drivers have most accidents, though they tend to be less costly than those of Taureans. They also suffer more than 11 per cent of all personal injuries from car accidents, the highest proportion compared to other star signs. But drivers born under the star signs Pisces and Cancer are most likely to totally destroy a vehicle between them they are responsible for 21 per cent of all cars written off. Virgoans write off just 5 per cent of the cars they crash. Overall, drivers with an Aries star sign are 27 per cent more likely to have a car accident than a 'safe' Sagittarius driver, according to the survey. But watch out for Librans as well they're at their most dangerous between 6am and 8am and 6pm and 8pm.
The results come from analysis by insurance company Aon Motor Accident Management, which handles 60,000 claims a year and manages a car fleet of more than 200,000 vehicles. THE study of more than 30,000 incidents last year shows that Virgoans have the smallest cost of claims, averaging 772 per incident, followed closely by Sagittarians at 776 per claim.
Other findings included the fact that men have more car accidents than women and are responsible for 75 per cent of all smashes and 79 per cent of all write-offs. Some 68 per cent of all personal injury claims are made by men, compared with 32 per cent by women. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the riskiest days to drive, with 32 per cent of all accidents happening on these days. The safest day of the week is Sunday with just 9 per cent of all accidents. The most risky time is between 8am and 10am, with 16 per cent of all accidents happening within this period. However, it is between 4pm and 6pm that car drivers do the most damage, costing an average of 1,232 to repair. That compared to just 876 for crashes happening between 8am and 10am. Some 15 per cent of all claims submitted for personal injury happen between 4pm and 6pm. November is the month which sees most car accidents, and September the least.
Aon's European sales director, Mary Johnston-Stokes, explained: 'Analysis of star signs is primarily a bit of fun. But statistics such as these are always fascinating and they do have a serious purpose. 'They provide us with an invaluable insight into those drivers who are most at risk of being involved in an accident. 'Once drivers who do pose a higher than normal risk have been identified, certain steps such as advanced driver training can be initiated, thereby reducing insurance and associated costs for both individuals and companies.'

TAURUS (April 21- May 21) Average cost of claim: 930.
Bullish Taurean drivers have the most expensive claims but not the highest number. Taureans provide a fairly uniformly awful performance throughout the day, with a high proportion of BMW drivers noted with expensive claims.
GEMINI (May 22 June 21) Average claim: 831 Geminis are split personalities when it comes to insurance claims. Boy racer Boy racer refers to a particular model of motorcycle and a type of sub-culture based around passenger vehicles. BMWs get a pasting, as do Mercedes and Renault drivers.
CANCER (June 22 July 23) Average claim: 882 Conservative and home-loving, Cancerians are nevertheless, jointly with Pisces, the most likely star sign to totally write off a car. Peugeot and BMW drivers are the main culprits.
LEO (July 24 Aug 23) Average claim 785 Leos do like to trash quality vehicles such as BMWs, Mercedes and Jaguars and the most likely time for them to do it is between 8am and 10am.
VIRGO (Aug 24 to Sept 23) Average claim 772 Least likely to write off a car. And the kindest drivers of all to Vauxhalls but the same can't be said of Fords, which take the brunt of their driving.
LIBRA (Sept 24 Oct 23) Average claim: 922 Librans are the second-worst offenders in Aon's league table of accident-prone drivers. Jaguars feature highly in the prang list, as do Fords and Vauxhalls.
SCORPIO (Oct 24 Nov 22) Average claim: 787 Among the safest drivers, they have smaller claims against most makes and models. BMWs escape the thrashingthey get from most other star signs. Nothing much to suggest the seething emotional intensity.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov 23 Dec 21) Average claim 776 The second-safest drivers and the kindest to Fords and Vauxhalls. Only Mercedes stand out as a menace for these drivers, known for their positive outlook and love of travelling and exploration.
CAPRICORN ( Dec 22 Jan 30) Average claim 804 Nothing is done to excess with stable and mostly serious Capricorn. But Fords stand out as the car most likely to be crashed by these cool and clinical types. A steady pasting of cars throughout the day.
AQUARIUS (Jan 21 Feb 19) Average claim 796 The dawning of the age of Aquarius is bad news for Fords and Vauxhalls which dominate the accident statistics for this star sign despite a serene but strong-willed nature.
PISCES (Feb 20 March 20) Average claim 880 Their traits may be gentle and patient, but they aggressively prang cars. Saabs and Audis figure highly in the number and cost of prangs. They are jointly, with Cancerians, the most likely to write off a car.
ARIES (March 21 April 20) Average insurance claim: 822 Arien 'rams' have the most accident claims, but not necessarily the most expensive ones, though they are most likely to be injured. A fair sprinkling of Mercedes and BMWs join Fords and Vauxhalls.

A survey of more than 700,000 accidents during a five-year period has revealed that a driver's star sign may affect the likelihood of them having an accident. The research, by Co-operative Insurance, showed that the temperamental qualities attached to each star sign by astrologers may be highlighted by the number of car accidents they are involved in.
Sagittarius and Scorpio drivers are the least likely to be involved in an accident, something that astrologers would put down to the determination and cheerfulness that predominates in the star sign.
Aries was the worst-performing star sign, being responsible for nearly 9% of all road accidents. Astrologers say that Ariens have a natural 'me first' attitude that could contribute to dangerous impulsiveness on the road.
