How much for a Palio Sport 2004 ?

Hi Guys,

Need some urgent advise for a friend. One of our colleagues is selling a 8 months old Palio Sport 1.2 NV in Bangalore. The Buyer is asking for 4 Lakhs.

Need urgent advise on what should be the right offer for this.. Pls note this is a very well maintained car, (He also has some 20,000/- of extra accessories - Modified exhaust, maybe K&N filter, stereo etc..)

not worth 4 lakhs at all . fiat does not carry that much re sale value and buying a used car not advisable and he has custom heads than his warranty is also void and when u take a loan for a used car the rate of interest is just too much so it aint a good deal for the money

You guys are forgetting that Raj is in Bangalore...and the used car prices here are high.. you Delhi & Mum guys are lucky..

having said this...I also feel 4 lacs for a FIAT (even bought a month back) is high... the car's resale drops as soon as it steps out of shoowroom.. BTW saw a posting on indiacar, asking for 4.5 L for 17,000 km driven, 2003 Palio diesel in Bangalore...

The car invoice was for 5.15 Laks I think - I guess includes Roadtax, insurance etc.. Mileage wise also it should be in the 10-12000 kms range not more

maximum i would pay is 3 lakhs , as i am so sure with the discounts the dealers offer on a new car loan will bring the car s price by a big amount , and you will pay much more interest on a used car loan than a new car loan .
does not make sense to buy one at 4 at all . tell the seller to go fish for a buyer

Thanks Guys - I did tell him 4 lacs is suicidal earlier and I have good inputs now... BTW I took a peek at the car, it is really awesome, Red color (probably the best red in cars in india) and he has awesome black and red combo leather upholstry..

Anyways, have told him to spend not more than 3.25 (3.5 if he is desperately keen to pick it up).. I suppose a few ppl willing to spend money on a good car with poor market value is a good thing anyways :-)

I don't understand this. If the buyer is asking for 4L, give it to him for 4L. Or is it the seller is asking for 4L
