I didn't get this. Could you be little more specific?

Isnt it wrong? I am assuming this occurred during the post-processing phase.. but if not, apologies.
I had two different exposure here. One for the car and other for the location.

Nothing has changed during post work. It was only enhancement.

No need for apology. Have doubts, please ask.

Rudra sir, can you elaborate on the processing that was done on the pic?

You mentioned 2 exposures, so did you merge the two using some software (which one?)? Can you post the exposure data here?

Rudra, my question was regarding the light on the bonnet and roof of the Baleno. To my layman eyes and knowledge, i felt that since the portion of the sky towards the front part of the car is cloudy, the light getting reflected from the car's body should have been limited more to the rear portion, rather than the front. Unless ofcourse, the clouds were added on later.

Just an observation, but i can be wrong, since i wasnt present when the actual shot was being taken.

I am missing many things in a row. Bangalore meet with 2 dozen cars and family members is something that didnt come to my attention. Now a great photoshoot with the big daddy, again, I feel it was not known to anyone, otherwise I bet, the photo session would have gone to the next day with big line of members joining in at every hour ! I felt more sad reading the mention of 'Nandini at New BEL road', thats just 2.5 kms from my house (5 mts drive) !

Physically cloud was way beyond those trees. Light and reflection on the bonnet/roof/boot is from the top and say couple of kilometers of sky above. To get a reflection of the cloud one needs to go higher than my shooting position and closer to the car. Sky above the car was different and that can be seen in Optra/Swift shots (yet to come).

Not in this case. I didn’t have to. But to pull out the sky and cloud…

..I had to go for two exposures. One for the car. Especially for the body and other for the background. There’s a clear two and a half stop difference. Digital cameras don’t have large tonal range capturing capabilities. Not like film cameras.

Kalpeshc, Merging happens on Photoshop. Not a direct flat merge but after layers masking.

Raw image processing was done on APPLE APERTURE though I mostly use CANON DIGITAL PROFESSIONAL for my raw process.

The Baleno snap is just awesome, Rudra. It is amazing the kind of magic you can do with even an average looking subject.

Well, I also happen to own the 'subject' in question.

And while I personally do think that it is an awesome looker, to others it would be just a decent average looking car. Not bad, but not that great either, as far as looks go.

... Amazing.!!!! I mean in the Baleno picture, the silver color of the car blended ~100% with the clouds and the surroundings, making it look part of the whole.

And here we have the same magic with the black optra. Wonder how you do it Rudra. .
