thanks rev, glad you like it.

here's one i took off a moving train, through a closed window, in low light conditions, with a point and shoot kodak.
what i'm trying to say is...I've got a lot of excuses as to why the image is so noisy!
so, gurus, please forgive me,this is one of my fav pics.

those blue dots are annoying, but if i scale back the saturation, the pic loses its charm, help!

This picture is from near aberdeen, scotland

Wow, this is one amazing pic! Thanks for sharing this. I am blown away. Especially when I read under which circumstances you took it. I would never have been able to do that.

Thanks TheOne!
if you liked that one, then here are some that were taken under better conditions with a better camera. this time, if there are imperfections, its all my fault. no excuses!

Thats what photography is all about, capturing the moment as it happens.

Really nice, especially the second one which gives a better impression on the colours and the moment the picture was taken.

I think I will have to take some serious classes with Sam to improve my own photographic skills. Because I think the best of it all is to look at your pictures afterwards and be able to say: wow, that is exactly how it was - I successfully captured the moment!

beautiful shots louis, especially the first one. Your train shot came out well even after the noise & high colour temperature.

thanks mansidea, TheOne and IMP
had a good evening today. was out with a friend from flickr.
had a great time on my secret cochin backroad route!

here are some pics from this evening's work.

used Picasa to adjust levels and crop the images. no photoshop used. thats because i have no idea how to use photoshop, but would like to learn.

the 1st 2 images were after the sun had set, and were very long exposures, so the moving fishermen and the boats look blurred. but i just had to get the sky so I snapped away!
