Rudra,
Well the weather might have been lousy, but surely not your shots! I love these black and white clicks of yours, They seem very dramatic to me.
Regards,
TG.

More Birdy Shots...

Last Saturday I took my Fiancee out for a shoot to one of my favorite hangouts at Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. Tried my new 50D with Canon 100-400mm. These are some of the shots which I managed to process till now. Will post the rest soon.

@nomad - Lovely pic of the spotted owlet ! That expression is too good !

@Redrage - Whoa ! Awesome set of pics I must admit. The Brahminy Kite pic is too good ! The Grebe looks a bit over-saturated, but suits the overall mood of the pic.

@TG - the 'candid' one is nice ! :P

Super stuff Redrage. Only I'm finding colours little to bright. Any thoughts?

Redrage, that River Tern is just mind-blowing. The only time I came across a River Tern, the sun was not co-operating. Didn't realise it could be so stunning.

@redrage
Mindblowingly clear! Just I wonder if its over saturated? looks a little too warm too.

Thanks everybody,

@Rudra Sir,TG & Hkanitkar: The colors actually don't look that over saturated on my LCD screen, are you viewing these images on CRT? I agree that the Kite image is over saturated, too much of green in the background. But coming to the little grebe (the duck) the golden evening light was falling on the ducks head and the water was really that green, In PS i gave a minor increase in saturation , that it. Does it look heavily over saturated or mildly? Do give me your feedback i will try to correct and re post.

@janitha: Only the river tern is from Ranganathittu.

@redrage - I am viewing this on a LCD.
IMO, the green on the water is fine, but the red on his cheeks and the eye looks a bit overdone. Rest of the colours are nice !

BTW if you dont mind, can I get a full res pic of the tern - I want to keep it as a wallpaper, just to inspire me back into bird photography ??
