Preetam, your compositions are commentable, I liked the previous shot very much. I think we are more learners here !

To my surprise and shock, I found that one of my neighbour gentleman is a professional photographer over 30 years !!!! Now he is kind of retired, son being a software professional in the US. But he spends his time more in nature, wildlife kind of subjects as a hobby. His digital gear is D300 with the 18-200 lens (turned film to digital recently). He owns over 4 lak worth bodies and lenses in the film format. Not ignoring the kind of strobes, flashes, studio lightings and accessories that are all stored into a tiny room next to the bedroom. I got freaked out checking some of his works in print, including few protraits of actor/singer vasundara das, dozens of brochures, pamphlets etc.

Its like I have found a GURU within 50 metres of my dwelling !! I am in a hurry to finish reading the books and magazines he has collected in his shelves. Best part is, I can access all the lighting/filter/accessories for experiments !!!

Wow Shajufx, thats great news. Not everyone is as luck as you. Use the opportunity to your best. Opportunity never knocks twice.

And Thank you for your opinion, "Peer learning is the best learning", as they say...

Yes, 'luck by chance' as I call it. Lets see how well I can utilize the resources available to me !!

Clever, I always thought we can only manipulate feelings of human beings while photographing, you have learned the technique of taming a snake to smile (smiling protrait of a snake....whuaaaa), please share your gyan on that !

@Shaju: I didn't ask the snake to pose, it seemed just happy because it probably knew it is in the safe hands of a Snake lover, our bhpian pramodkumar.
@Scorcher: Thanks, I just used my kit lens @70mm so didn't go very near it. Anyway I later touched it too

But isn't it the harmless "Chera" or rather "rat snake"?

Yes janitha, it is just the 'Chera' Since I could not identify it, we were little concerned until Pramod came and told that it is a Ratsnake a.k.a. 'Chera' indeed.
Thanks TG!

The Golden Gate, long exposure at F22
A typical postcard shot

I don't know why but I can see some image quality degradation near the cables at the top left after resizing. Anyone know any reasons why thats happening?

Well I did not take my tripod, but my hands are not the terminator variety. The cam was kept on the side of the bridge for the 6 mins that the shot was exposed.
