LOL!
As if I am some great guru here!
And I do not know anything about using a DSLR, I have been dying to get one.
I am just a learner, all the true gurus out here know that for good!
Hellwrath, TG, Clevermax, Shajufx and many others can help with that!
I am just saying that nice shots like that one can be improved on the contrast front using some post processing. Cheers!

Amazing shot bro!
How did you manage to get the sea in the background blurred out?
Is it PP or have you taken the shot with panning?
Please share the technique!

@Preetam
Look at the shutter speed. Its 1/30. So, i have panned, else i will not get the man in focus.

TG.

What's with f/32? Did you shoot in Shutter prio mode?

@Clevermax

No. I shoot only in manual. In that shot, I wanted motion blur. But also keep in mind, I had to cut light. I was at the lowest iso, but the shutterspeed of 1/30 lets in a lot of light. So the image was getting overexposed. So to counter that, I went all the way up in aperture. Also, I like the sharpness it brings to the water droplets all over.

Here is another one, check out the exif:

The Official non-auto Image thread-4643771629_fe3d21ab76_b.jpg
Camera: Nikon D3S
Exposure: 1/4000 sec
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 400 mm
ISO Speed: 200

Note that I had to bring up the shutter speed, when the aperture was widened. No motion blur achieved due to the higher shutter speed.
Regards,
TG.

Preetam, please dont pull my leg here. I am one step below you when it comes to basic composition talents. Trying hard to learn the basics !

I loved both shots. Hope they were in the burst mode.

He gets thrashed up over a dozen times in a day (mostly by his mum), so I didnt have to do it for shoots. Atleast the summer holidays are getting over in a week, he will be back to school routine and less 'harms'.

The first one was crystal clear and cute, this one is lacking the sharpness or life. I dont know the technical part but thats what I feel.

Hope its not the neighbour lady. We dont want anyone here with a broken arm and leg !

Thanks for sharing.
I am an absolute amateur when it comes to numbers and how they translate into something else.

pramod what filter did you apply to get that softness on the face ? IMO its a tad bit overdone, I would have preferred a sharper one .

Kids were playing with the camera and they successfully put the camera in ISO 800 so this pics had some noise. I reduced the noise and the result was an overdone pic i any ways posted it, anyways after figuring that out i took another one with lower ISO, just posting it without any PP.
