94 and still going strong. This old man was full of praises for the Britishers, reason he told me was that the Britishers would visit them every now and then and educate them about agriculture. He knew a few English words and remembers the names of a handful of the soldiers back then. I was taken aback after he showed me a few souvenirs given to him by them.

BTW he would never put up a smile on his face no matter how much I tried convincing him. samurai has competition .

Thanks for the compliment. I chased this thing for months to get close to it as they would shy away from coming out in the sun. Had it stayed in sun for a little while the colours would had come out brilliant.

Hey Guys!

How difficult it is for you guys to post the Exif data along with the lens details? Just the baisc ones like shutter speed, F#, ISO and any other creative settings that you think can help!
I guess that will help others, to me for sure since I keep visiting this thread for some great images!!
Thank you.

"Before the Sunrise"
Villages where electricity is still not available are pretty sedate in the dark and come out with a flury of activities on the day break.

Nice snaps there

@Susan, nice snaps of moths and chameleons.

@Devil, I liked the first one more. What cam you use?

@Shaju, first KF is just amazing. Would you mind posting the original image, it would be mindblowing to see it in natural background.

@Riju, hoping to see more from the exclusive series.

Thanks guys. Jac, thats the original background, nothing is changed. Its a huge lake behind it, spot metering has naturally converted it like a white wall. I have only resized and adjusted the contrast, nothing else. The poll might look like having a shadow, but thats another slanting pole behind, not a shadow.

Same guy on a chain, but this time background is a cemented slanting platform to the lake.

Glad to hear that, I can bet one thing, the more you go out with your camera, you will come back home with many doubts and new findings . Thats a healthy learning. I have around 45 shots of this Kingfisher, but half of them came out very dark, yet to find out what went wrong. Luckily this guy kept changing positions around me for a good 30 mts allowing me to try all the metering, focusing, composition, ISO and shutter speed experiments. May be he knew I am desperate to LEARN. Wish all the birds were like this.

@rjstyle -- The image is a little too saturated for my liking. Do you any other version of the same image? How about a B&W?

e_t it was a shot using bracketing and then merged into one image. I tried a B&W and wasn't to my liking. I will put up one for you tonight though.
