@Torqueguru - Great Pana.
@anvancy - Super macro.
@CrAzY dRiVeR - Nice shot and idea.

@shajufx - Nice angle. Cant the shot be taken from a little more from right so that more information of right side structure included ?

@rjstyles69 - Good try. Don't you thing the front wall has become more prominent in the shot ?

Since dragon fly is the flavour , one from my side .

here is another to show some details.

Anvancy

Superb! No words to describe my feelings. Not sure how can I remove the dragon fly shot from the previous page .

Macro Lenses such as the Canon 60mm,Canon 100mm,Nikkor 105mm provide 1:1 magnification.ie they give you a frame filler.The real magic starts once you start using a lens which takes you further.

There are some options.

1.Filters:These include those Sonia closeup filters,Kenko filters,Canon 500D and Canon 250D.Filters are nothing but a simple treated glass to give you a level of magnification.You stack +1 and +2 you get more magnification.But these filters carry heavy amount of chromatic abbreviation.So virtually every shot is kinda blue green.

2.Dedicated Macro lenses: Currently Canon only makes a dedicated field macro lens which is the MP E 65mm.a beauty lens with 1x to 5x magnification.Nikon does not make that kind of a field lens.(thats why I am into canon)

3.Extension Tubes/Bellows/Reverse Rings :These are used to help get magnification from your existing lens.reverse ring helps reverse your lens.bellows and extension tubes work slightly on the same principle of extending your reach for close up photography.Bellows are the most delicate out of the three.You can also get electronic extension tubes which have connectors for metering etc.

4.Objectives: This is the real deal of macro photography.the pros use objectives made from nikon carl zeiss and others.Objectives are simultaneously used with bellows.objectives are better than say field lens since they are beautifully made for macro.their lens structure is way superior.But they are a pain to use in the field.For a small wallet like me they are sitting in heavens.

5.Achromats: This is for those elcheapo people who have small wallets.like me.Raynox achromats give you a very VFM lens.These are lenses not filters.thats why they are called achromats.very low CA,beautiful magnification,snap on adaptors,easy to use.This is what I use.

And the same dragonfly but with less magnification.

Here is one as you wanted, this gives an idea how big this whole structure is. Its 19 images this time, but I am still missing the right end of the church ! What you saw in my previous image and Riju's image is just half of the church. Right half is longer than it appears !

Thanks a lot fazalaliadil.

Anvancy has covered everything. Just to add, i used DCR250 for that shot.

Thanks a lot. Love your shot. Try bringing some more detail from the shadows near the eyes. Most often that not, eyes make the shot.

You need a new toothbrush with immediate effect. It is a reverse lens macro right? keep the lens at 18 mm for greater magnification. Clevermax had taken some really nice macros with the reverse lens technique (his flicker page) and some of mine
