No, it is not end point, there are no tall mountains around Manipal. But I think you are right about the bird.

I find it perfect, considering the compression our server gives. Keep them coming.

I should be happy even if 'One in a hundred recognizes my existence'

This could be my last post, if wifey sees my comment above she is holding her friend's infant in the pic

The pic is not clear, the food in the pic is not tempting enough, food needs to be shot with good light and preferably a zoom lens(though not a hard and fast rule) to keep most of the part in focus, most likely at F4, it looks more like a blob of brown stuff than a black chocolate truffle cake, Please understand the effect is brillliant and the idea of a bokeh is even more different but the pic does not convey the mood you trying to convey, Just my 2c worth.

No dear, never needed that trick so far

Sankranti shots for my friends (taken couple of hours back), first posting here ! Many not processed. Sorry Chetan and Jacob, it was a last minute decision suggested by Amit, my month-long sleeping DSLR bag woke up now.

No probs mate. Pics are nice. I liked you "One in a Hundred" pic also.

Here is my new experiment with a rented Nikon 105mm f2.8 VR.

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

@Punter
I agree word by word with Paraveen's critique there. MAke the food look more enticing, if you use shallow dof, make it clearer what you want us, the viewers to see, right now I can barely make out its a cake! But good job experimenting!
