IMHO, whenever you are taking a picture digitally there will be a need to do some amount of Post Processing. It is inevitable. If you are shooting jpeg then the camera's in-built logic would do that for you (but obviously that would not something what a photographer want). So while shooting RAW, the camera won't do any kind of processing and it's upto you to do that part and come up with an image that you've visualized. Obviously there would be debate on how much would too much as always.

@Kaushik: These were the words I wanted to write exactly! In fact, I had also written the same points several pages (months) back, when we had a discussion on correcting lens originated imperfections in the image like CA.

@guyonblackybx: Very nice angle the second picture, but feels like a subject is lacking
