Shaju makes a very very important point about dressing up and talking their language etc. Everyone has a circle of fear, so you need to be careful when you get too close. Don't get scared, but build a rapport and you'll see how friendly people are. Infact, about 7-8 months back when we had gone to a small town near Hesarghatta (where Shaju got an awesome photo of a little girl and called it "Hope"), the people there were very generous to us. I didn't shoot anything because I just wanted to hang out and talk to them. In the end, one man was kind enough to take us to his small farm and treat us with Guavas. I had a feeling, he would ask for money, but no, he said he just wanted us to feel like guests. These experiences want to make you go and shoot more. And yes, always spend time talking to them as they are curious to know what you're upto. And yes be prepared to answer the question "Why do you want to photogrpah me/us?, Are you a reporter?" . I have given weirdest answers to such questions and yes, talking the local language always helps . Hope, some of this helps you.

Yep totally agree on this one. Street photography lets you explore and you get meet a lot of interesting folks. It lets you enjoy a place and all you need to do is keep walking. I have been confronted by political parties, Cops, general people but mostly think Im a journalist, also I delete the picture if someone is not comfortable with that. Thanks a ton for your valuable advise guys! Will try to get into it. Language wise, I don't have a problem in Karnataka. Can talk fluently in all flavors of Kannada. Guess people do not take me as a friendly person at first glance. Will try and improve on that :-)

Will try and make friends with people who already are into street photography. Guess that makes things more easier.

One more question on this. Currently I'm in U.S. Any idea how do people react to photography in U.S.? I have never tried here too but seems to me that people are more forgiving than India. Is my assumption correct?

Minimal noise reduction applied to the shots. I can say I am happy with the high ISO. Definitely cleaner than my 350D!

With wavelet denoise I will be able to push it to 3200 without worry!

About the Church shot in your previous post, had you moved a bit towards left and let the tree not blocking the view of the top of Church then it would've probably looked better. Liked the 3rd shot of that post.

Thanks Pawan and Dry_Ice. The 2nd shot was actually taken from inside of my car. It was raining that time and I didn't had my rain-cover that time. So just took the shot from the car only. Luckily it came out good.
