@Shaju
I am pretty sure your friend might be a programmer. I am the only Indian working on Halo 4, on the game art department here.

@Kaushik
Great BnW.
You should try a GOW shot too then!

@dip27in
Glad that you enjoyed it.

Came across this wild black and white fox, while hiking in the Mount Rainier area, Seattle.

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Some photos from my recent stay in the US.

NY Skyline from Statue of Liberty with a bit of PP.
Conditions – Slightly Cloudy
Serious limitations of a small frame DSLR with 18mm. May be a 15mm could have captured the missed Brooklyn bridge on the right and a bit of south-west on left.
Pictures from Ellis Island would have given even better views but I did not stop there. Another good location to capture the towering skyline is from Jersey City.

A trip to NYC and a picture without a Statue of Liberty?
The Official non-auto Image thread-2stofliberty.jpg

FALL - The north east was recently ravaged by hurricane Irene and the most of the places we visited around Maine and New Hampshire had choppy colors.
Conditions – Extremely Cloudy
HDR introduced noise (near the boat ramp) to this one, but I liked the surrealism.

And lastly, a pic of my 2 year old naughty grandson – Abhinav

I carry a humble Nikon D3000 with its 18-55 kit lens and at times I'm amazed by this lens and have equally hated for its in capabilities in lowlight situations. I'm planning to buy a flash for lowlight situations and found the speedlites a bit expensive. Has anyone tried the Sunpak's or Vivitar's? I’m just looking for something which would help with indoor situations like dull lit halls. Bumping the ISO to 400 helps but anything more makes it a noise magnet. Moreover once you are bitten by the bounce bug, it is hard to get over it!

@Ironh4wk
It's Mt. Rainier locade in the Cascade Ranges, near Seattle.

Another one from the same location. It was quite magical to be here.
