Those are some good pics. Just a suggestion here, We don't need to uplaod pics in their native resolution as they are too heavy. Image size greater than 200 kb is like an overkill. After all we don't need to print them.

Any Panasonic FZ 50 users?

Hi all

Joined here recently. I am a traveller and a amateur photographer. Was directed here by the mod after my intro post. Just wondering if there are any Panasonic FZ 50 users

Few pix of mine: Flickr: Photos from Rocky aka Rakesh Barua

BTW a few of us from here are also on flickr. I have sent you a flickr friend request.

@ rocky -- that is a nice collection of photos that you have clicked. Loved the pigeon with feathered legs and signature spider pics a lot !

Here's another one from my garden :

I am .. whatever you say I am..: My photos -- few of the best ones in my opinion - part 2
I am .. whatever you say I am..
I am .. whatever you say I am..: what happens when you couple a 10 year old Nikkor 100mm MF lens with a Nikon D80

Not all from my garden though.

Santebennur, Davangere

Was driving around Davangere district when we saw these. Just an ASI notice board, but no information on the origins of the place.

Not much info on the web either.

Note the structure at the center, one on the left, one to the right & two in the back-ground. The lower part of each of these is stone, while upper part of each of these is bricks & mortar.

The structures have carvings of Hindu dieties.

Apart from this, is a kind of gallery, open towards this. The first pic is a the view from this gallery. The gallery itself does not have any rooms above ground. Nearest major fort is Chitradurga, I guess.

All pics from the N70.

Riju, this place is to the west of NH-4 between Chitradurga & Davangere. Good time to go there would be if one is driving to Shimoga or passing through Chitradurga & Davangere ... rather than making a specific visit.

Locally it is called "Pushkarani" or "Honnda"

Directions:
1. BLR-Chitradurga.
2. Take by-pass, but after the city is a left turn towards Shimoga, Honnalli, Holalkere. Take this road.
3. About 10-15 km on this road, take a deviation to the right, towards Hullur, Bommenahalli etc.
4. Ask for directions to Santhebennur. No major towns on the route

Option 2:
About 15-18 km before Davangere is Anagodu. Take a left turn here, towards Mayakonda. Continue past Mayakonda & Andanur. After Andanur, take a right towards Santebennur.

I may have posted this before, but I just want to show how much cropping is possible without losing detail using a E-500 image.
