You meant too less DOF right?

C&C are most welcome.
Drashkum Photostream
I use CS5 directly for focus stacking now. I think it is much more easier in it to do that..

Yes clevermax, shallow DOF. Is there any way to take moving insects for focus stacking ?
Again nice shot.

Moving subjects and focus stacking - the only option could be a Lytro camera ;-) I don't know how we can achieve that using normal gear. I'd just use a shorter focal length and a narrow aperture to get as much in focus in a single shot..

Aa geeash told, you need focus stacking rails and a frozen subject for getting amazing results with macro focus stacking.

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Sorry for the back to back posts, I was out of the 20 minute time window as soon as I came up with this shot..

Since we were talking about macro of moving subjects, decided to give it a try and here's what I got - a bee in flight about to land at the doorsteps of its home. I know it could have been better if I used a flash in 1/16 or 1/32 power mode with a narrower aperture and a much lower ISO.

Exif & camera details
A35, 18-55mm lens with DCR 250
f/8, 1/1000s, ISO3200, 50mm, daylight

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Continuing with the BEE theme.

There was a huge honeycomb on the 12th floor which was causing trouble to the flat owners on that floor. So the honeycomb had to be burnt down. As a result of that, there were at least 50 bees lying dead in ours and most others' terraces.

Here's one of those unfortunate Bees

That's a big one compared to the bee in my picture, which is like half a cm in length..!
