I too agree. Awesome shot, nice framing!

IR = Infra Red. I used an IR filter effect in ps there. Actually, you can try it with a real IR filter attached to the lens for the perfect result, unlike my pseudo IR shot. Hope that answers your question.

Clicked at the Sea otters World biking race. I managed to get into the media shooting area, I did not have any media credentials with me, well i just acted all pro and it worked

A bad accident at the race, happened just a few feet away from me, I was one of the few walking around with a 14-24(Infact I didn't see any one with a wide angle in there, all were Tele, super tele and some were ultra super tele!), so I had to be real close to the action to get my shots....I loved the adrenaline rush!

Great shots. Do you ever send these pictures to the participants / post on forums where they are active?

How to take lightning pictures.
Yesterday it was raining & there was lightning to a great extent here in Bangalore.
I took my camera out, but tried different setting(apperture, shutter speed, ISO), but couldn't capture the lighting(just got one, but it's slightly shaken - NO TRIPOD ;-)).
Anyways pls guide me as what should be the optimal settings(apperture, shutter speed, ISO) to take lightning photography

Which camera are you using? Well, first get a tripod.

Earlier in this thread, Tanveer has shot some great lightning shots and has explained the method pretty well. Do check if your camera supports 'bulb' mode, and go through what Tanveer explained, you would get a fair idea of how to shoot lightning.
